In the 1950s, the Shanghai opera "Red Lantern" was adapted from the movie "Self-Descendants", when Shanghai opera masters Yuan Binzhong, Han Yumin and Ling Aizhen played Li Yuhe, Li Tiemei and Grandma Li respectively. After that, the story of "Red Lantern" went to the whole country, and many dramas performed the play, among which the Peking Opera art film is a classic that countless people are familiar with.

A few days ago, the Shanghai Shanghai Theater led the audience to revisit "The Red Lantern" at the Oriental Art Center, and the morning reporter interviewed Ding Yebo, a young actor who played Li Yuhe. Talking about the shaping of the role of "Li Yuhe" in "Red Lantern", Ding Yebo said: "Looking back on my road of learning, it can be said that Li Yu and this character grew up with me. When I was 14 years old, I played Li Yuhe at the drama school, from the initial imitation, to learning the folding play 'execution ground', until now I can perform the whole play of "Red Lantern". A role played more, his every reaction, every action is easy to 'mechanize', I will warn myself, do not 'fried cold rice', but put yourself in the position of Li Yuhe at that time. ”

Speaking of the role's "sense of belief", Ding Yebo mentioned that every performance has a different experience, and the role of "Li Yuhe" constantly moves him, and every performance is moving closer to his belief. Through continuous experience, "On the stage, there will be a few moments, I think I am Li Yuhe." Ding Yebo said.

In 2013, the new version of "Red Lantern" premiered on the Tian Toad Yifu Stage, which has been performed more than 350 times so far, and the version presented on March 28 has undergone five rehearsals. According to Ding Yebo, the "Red Lantern" of this performance was directed by the original director Wang Yu, and when he mentioned one of the most impressive things in the rehearsal process, Ding Yebo talked about it, "The old director Wang Yu is extremely serious and responsible, and his professionalism is very impressive to me." Once the time was tense, late at night in rehearsal, because it was too tired, in the rehearsal interval, all the actors leaned on the mat, but director Wang Yu while facing the light, while lecturing for the actors, until more than one o'clock in the morning. ”

The reporter learned that the old director Wang Yu took into account the acceptance of the current audience and changed the new version. First of all, the iconic gong and drum points in the opera were removed, and the gong and drum points were integrated into the performances of the actors. At the same time, let the "stylized" action close to life, and impress the audience with a sense of truth.

In "Red Lantern", most of the actors participating in the performance are young people after the 90s. In recent years, the frequency of recruiting young actors in Shanghai Shanghai Theater is getting higher and higher, and next year will also absorb a number of new forces of Shanghai opera, and now the talent echelon construction is very complete, and the post-90s generation has become a trend. With the promotion and dissemination of red culture theme education for primary and secondary school students, "Red Lantern" has two performance versions, one of which is specifically aimed at teenagers, and the main creative team takes into account the interest and acceptance of teenagers, and deletes some cutscenes from the original two-hour performance, retaining the classic singing section and the main theme of the characters. It is reported that the Shanghai Shanghai Theater has also set up a Shanghainese training camp, which provides a special space for children aged 4-11 to learn Shanghainese and understand Shanghai opera, and the actors of the Shanghai Theater will teach.
