It is reported that the exhibition consists of 9 units: "Exemplary Works", "Barcelona Series", "Wandering Artist Series", "Bullfighting Series", "Bull and Matador Series", "Picasso's Studio Series", "Photography Series" and two "Porcelain Series". The exhibition is supported by the Picasso Foundation and the Picasso Museum of Malaga (Spain, Italy), with Wang Chunchen, deputy director of the CAFA Art Museum, as curator. The works on display focus on the last 30 years of Picasso's creative career, showing Picasso's amazing passion and artistic creativity from different levels, bringing the audience the opportunity to feel, observe and understand the artist at close range.
Among them, the "Wandering Artist Series" is Picasso's earliest printmaking work on the theme of the human body, a total of 14 works, which will be exhibited in the form of a complete set in this exhibition. A Simple Meal (1904) in this unit is an important work from the end of Picasso's "Blue Period". The "Bullfighting Series" was inspired by the story of José Delgado, Spain's greatest bullfighter of the 18th century. The 26 copperplate engravings in this series, like film film, show different moments of the bullfighting process; similarly, because Picasso himself was fascinated by bulls and bullfighting performances, he created the "Bull and Matador Series" from 1957 to 1959, which is not only a testimony to the artist's great friendship with his friends, but also hints at Picasso's longing for his hometown.

The exhibition will also feature nine photographs taken by Hungarian-American photojournalist Robert Capa for the Picasso family. These life photos subvert the image of Picasso's proud genius artist in people's hearts, allowing the audience to know and understand the artist more comprehensively. The exhibition will run until January 3, 2022.

Beiqiu Contemporary Art Museum is located in the Mid-Levels Garden of Huaya Catherine Square in Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, with the Arctic Pavilion on its back. As the country's first art museum embedded in the hills of the city center, North Hill integrates contemporary art collection, exhibition, research and development and education.
The main building of the art museum retains the original architectural appearance of more than 20 years ago, which was restored and reinforced six years ago, and the 1100 square meters of space is cleverly connected with the lush mountain, and the interior of the pavilion is watered with clear water concrete, showing a collision between industry and primitive. History, nature and reality are intertwined, pioneers and traditions are repeatedly tested, and the locality, multimodalization and uncertainty of contemporary art are all echoed here.
