A Literary History for Children: Children's Literature

1.1 Roald Dahl: A pilot turned fairy tale master

In this talk, I will talk about the unique creative secrets of the British fantasy literature master Roald Dahl, if you also have a dream of being a writer, you may wish to learn a few more tricks from him!

In the literary world, there are always some geniuses who are not committed to creation, but accidentally become writers, and Roald Dahl is such a prodigy.

During World War II, he was originally a mighty RAF pilot, and he was besieged by German fighters, and even hit a boulder when landing, and his life hung in the balance. Wounded, he had to end his Air Force career and was later sent to Washington, D.C. There he met the great writer C.S. Forrest. Forrest asked Dahl to try writing some war memoirs, and as a result, his essay "Fierce Fighting Over Libya" was published in the Saturday Evening Post.

As a result, Dahl was inspired to embark on the path of literary creation. At first, Dahl's work was limited to telling about his own flying adventures. In 1943, he wrote his first children's story, The Gremlins, in which he created "little creatures like Grelenes who live in fighter planes and bombers and try every day to make planes fail or collide." The most successful part of this book is undoubtedly Dahl's unrestrained imagination, and Dahl's subsequent works have brought his imagination to the fullest. For example, in the book "The Good-Hearted Giant", the kind good-hearted Eyed Giant, he will go to the dream country every day, use a net pocket to catch the dream floating in the air, store it in a bottle, and label it according to the content, pour the dream into the long trumpet at night, and then blow it into the child's bedroom, so that the child can have a beautiful dream. This imagination is fantastical enough, right?

In addition to his imagination, another distinguishing characteristic of Dahl is the opposite. In his story, he never deliberately creates a fairy tale world of truth, goodness and beauty, but inevitably puts adults and children in the conflict between strong and weak, evil and good, and there is no doubt that good and weak children will defeat strong and vicious adults, so the orphan Sophie in "Good Eye Giant" successfully makes the man-eating giant caught; In "James and the Big Immortal Peach", the evil sponge ball and the nail aunt are pressed into paper dolls by James's big fairy peach. I know that your children will be applauded when they read it! However, what makes you more admired by Dahl is his extreme humor. Look at Mr. Stupid's stupid appearance in "The Stupid Couple": "His entire face, except for his forehead, eyes and nose, is covered with thick hair, and even a pinch of hair pops out of his nostrils and ears." Mr. Stupid thinks that this furry image makes people look extremely intelligent and amazing. "Isn't it stupid to be funny? And even more so is "Good-Eyed Giant", in which the well-wisher-eyed giant introduces Sophie to a bubbling drink called "Xia Qi Coke", saying that drinking it will cause stomach bloating, producing "the side effect of crackling and puffing", and saying that "we giants have been crackling and puffing, crackling is a symbol of happiness." It's music in our ears! ”

Sophie told him that this kind of thing was rude, and the well-meaning giant was not convinced, and argued: "If everyone can crackle, then why can't this be told?" Then he shook out the gray-green bubbles, pulled out the cork, and took a long gulp. Suddenly, like a thunderbolt on a sunny day, Sophie heard the biggest and most rude sound of her life, swirling around the four walls like thunder, and the amazing explosive power made her incomparably large giant rise completely off the ground like a rocket.

Presumably you already know what a crackling puff is, it's a satisfying rude joke, isn't it?

Well, I'm introducing you to Roald Dahl and his children's literature. Roald Dahl, who was originally a pilot in the British Royal Air Force, discovered that he still had an outstanding talent as a writer, so he began to completely unleash his imagination and create a lot of children's literature. In addition to rich imagination, Roald Dahl's works are always full of clear opposites, composed of opposites, often fierce adults and kind children, Roald will always design weak but kind children to eventually defeat vicious adults, presumably in the process of victory, children must have bizarre experiences, so that Roald's children's literature, more attractive to children to read!

So, this pilot-turned-writer, you already know his children's literature, so in the next lecture, I will introduce him to his "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", let's talk about it later!

1.2 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: I want a gold ticket too

In this lecture, I will take you to enjoy Roald Dahl's masterpiece "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

For Dahl, school life in childhood was a terrifying adventure. It's just that if the tip of the pen is broken in class, borrow a nib from a classmate, you can be dragged by the teacher to the principal's room and beaten, and there is no beating master more powerful than the principal! He can knock your ass out" pang bang gunshot, every time you hurt to the extreme, you do it again, and finally your butt hurts like a fire.

The only joy in such a gloomy memory was that there was a chocolate factory at that time, and the children would always try the latest chocolate and give advice. This last trace of sweetness gave birth to Roald Dahl's sweet and rich "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

The synopsis of the story goes roughly like this: Charlie is kind-hearted but poor, the mysterious Wonka chocolate factory is his heart's desire, and with the hard work of the family, Charlie won a gold medal ticket to enter the chocolate factory, and with his good qualities, defeated the other four gold medal winners and became the heir of the chocolate factory.

Although the plot is not complicated, the story is endearing. Dahl, a chocolate fanatic, constructs a romantic world of candy in this novel. For example, Mr. Wonka, who owns a chocolate factory in the book, his inventions in chocolate are simply amazing: explosive candy for enemies; glowing hard candies eaten in bed at night; sticky candy for parents who talk a lot; Invisible chocolate candy for class stealing and more. These amazing candies are not only as effective as the name, but they are also delicious and have a superb taste!

In addition to chocolate candy, the novel has another feature, that is, there are no villains for adults. Roald Dahl is very fond of dressing up adults as villains and appearing in novels. But in this "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", the personality opposition between Charlie and the other four children who won the golden ticket was formed. In order to expose the character shortcomings of the four children, Dahl's description is really exaggerated. For example, Augustus Grupp's disadvantage was that he was too gluttonous. So the article says that the photo shows a nine-year-old boy, fat as if he had been pumped up with a strong pump. He was covered in fluffy and fat bulging out, and his face was like a large dough, on which two greedy eyes like small grapes peered out into the outside world. With the exception of this chubby gluttonous child, Violette Borregaard's flaw is that she chews gum too much, to this extent: "I can't live without it." I chew gum all day, except for a few minutes during meals I would take it out of my mouth, and I put it behind my ear here for safety, I just gave two examples, but the four gold lottery winners, everyone really has a bit of a bad problem!

As a comedy expert, how could Dahl miss humor in this sweet book? When the protagonist Charlie finally gets the lottery ticket after a few losses, Charlie's grandfather Joseph, who is in his nineties, is too happy: there seems to be a big explosion in his body. He threw up his arms and shouted, "Good, a At the same time, his slender body had risen and left the bed, and his bowl of soup was spilled on Grandma Josephine's face.

Even for the four children with bad personalities, Dahl's punishment was obviously to make people laugh: the gluttonous Glulu, quietly sneaked to the chocolate river, picked up the chocolate solution and drank, and then he screamed and disappeared under the brown river, do you think he would drown? No, Dahl arranged for a large glass tube to suck him, and then he quickly rose up like a torpedo, but soon his fat body blocked the path of the chocolate solution, and the solution that accumulated at the end formed a huge momentum, allowing him to shoot out like a chamber bullet. Now, you can go to the chocolate mixing bucket in the strawberry milk chocolate stuffing gummy workshop and salvage him.

Well, in this lecture, I will take you to understand Roald Dahl's masterpiece "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The poor but kind little Charlie is very eager to visit the chocolate factory near the school, and by chance, Charlie gets the gold lottery issued by the chocolate factory, and Charlie also gets the gold medal ticket with four children, only the kindest and most resistant to temptation can get the final victory. The winner is, of course, little Charlie, whose prize is an entire chocolate factory presented by Mr. Wonka. Sweet romance, extreme exaggeration, casual humor pervades this novel. And unknowingly, as the freeloader falls into the chocolate river, the rich girl who wants everything falls into the garbage heap, and so on, the plot is undoubtedly telling the reader how important it is to cultivate children's excellent character! Now that you've learned about this romantic and delicious book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, in the next lecture, I'm going to introduce Roald Dahl's thriller story - "The Witch"! Let's talk about it later!

1.3 "Mao Mao" is the story of the thief and the little daughter

In this lecture, I want to introduce Mitchellend's work "Mao Mao".

If you're lucky enough to visit Germany, you'll find Momo cafés, Momo food stores, and Momo ragdoll shops everywhere.

What is the divine nature of Momo? This is the one that introduces the protagonist of the novel, Mao Mao!

Note that "Mao Mao is only short for the title of the book, and Ender also took a giant subtitle "The Incredible Story of the Time Thief and a Little Girl."

What kind of people are these time thieves? It is a group of "Mr. Ash" with cigarettes in their mouths, they are always tempting people to save all time at all times, what time is money, save a little if you can. People should devote all their time to work, talking to family and gathering with friends, which is a big waste of time.

Gradually, people began to ignore friends and snub family members in a race against time, and the world lost love in the busyness. Only the innocent little girl Mao Mao, in order to save her friends and save love, risked her life to find the time manager Dr. Houla, and used the "Flower of Time to defeat Mr. Gray, help people regain the stolen time, and restore love and happiness to the world."

Yes, this is an abstract philosophical novel of time. Although reasoning sounds very abstract, Ender has cleverly "turned abstraction into concreteness". Here, abstract time becomes figuratively visible to time thieves, time managers, time banks, and even time spenders.

For example, what would it be like to bloom in people's hearts when it grows into flowers?

As the pendulum slowly drew closer and closer to the edge of the pool, a huge bud emerged from the black water. The closer the pendulum needle is to the edge of the pool, the larger the flower blooms until it is fully open and lying on the surface of the water.

We often lament that time cannot be seen or touched, but it keeps passing, and people cannot change it. Ender cleverly concretizes time and also gives the reader a new perspective on time.

In addition to turning abstraction into concrete, Ender also deliberately blurs concrete characters in the story, creating a unique sense of mystery.

As the guardian angel of human time, Mao Mao's character of jealousy and courage is extremely distinct, but her background is extremely vague and mysterious. Listen to this conversation at the beginning of the book:

"You said your name was Mao Mao, didn't you?"

"Yes."

"It's a beautiful name, but I've never heard of it. Who gave you this name? ”

"Myself!" Mao Mao said.

"You name yourself?"

"Yes."

"When were you born?"

Mao Mao thought for a long time, and finally said: "Since I can remember, I have been here. ”

"You don't have aunts, uncles and grandparents, do you have a home where you remember?"

Mao Mao looked at the man and was silent for a moment. Then, she muttered, "My home is here." ”

"Alas," said the man, "but you are still a child—how old are you?" ”

"About a hundred years old." Mao Mao said hesitantly.

Everyone laughed because they thought it was a joke.

"Hey, seriously, how old are you?"

"One hundred and two years old." Mao Mao said with some unease.

After a while, everyone realized that the child only knew the numbers, which she heard, but in fact she did not understand what those numbers meant, because no one had taught her to count. The protagonist is a little girl who doesn't know her age and doesn't know where she comes from, is she more interested in an instant?

Well, in this talk, I introduced Mitchell Ende's "Mao Mao". Although this is a novel about the abstract concept of time, Ender writes very interestingly, such as the time thief, the time manager, these are the invisible embodiment of time. However, reading this book, it is really impatient, because Ender does not expose the ugly faces of the gray gentlemen at the beginning, but gradually narrates, so that this group of time thieves wearing kind, polite masks, cleverly deceived everywhere, so that the good people unconsciously fell into their trap. They are really too hidden, so hidden that you will find that Mr. Ash actually lives in the body of each of us, and accidentally runs out. At the end of the article, you will find: "time is not money", "time is life, life is in our hearts", maybe it takes a lifetime to read the deep meaning of this sentence. This profound time novel has been translated into many languages including Afrikaans, Serbian, Croatian and other languages, forming a world-class "Mao phenomenon". Maybe you'll also become a "hairy control"! Then in the next lecture, I want to introduce another work of Ender "The Story That Never Ends", what is the story, never finished, let's talk about it again!

1.4 "The Story That Never Ends": Regain lost love

Indeed, this lecture is about a "never-ending story" that can never be told.

A brief introduction to the synopsis of the story: the protagonist Bastian is a little fat boy who has lost his mother, cannot get his father's love, and is bullied by his classmates. One rainy morning, he was attacked by his classmates, so he hid in a used bookstore and found a beautiful and attractive book. Then, he stole the book and hid in the storage room on the top floor of the school to read it. The name of the book is precisely "the story that never ends".

The fantasy kingdom in the book is facing a terrible crisis of being swallowed up by nothingness, and the ruler Empress Naivety is seriously ill, and only if the children of the world give her a new name, the fantasy kingdom can be saved. This task is given to Ateleyu, a little green-skinned boy. He overcame all the difficulties to reach the border of the fantasy kingdom, but he either fell into the sea or was bitten by a werewolf, and he could not break through the border and come to the world. After an unknown number of days and nights, he flew back to the ivory tower to apologize to the Innocent Empress, who told him that the mission had been completed. And the child of the world who completed the task is Bastian.

It turns out that Bastian, who is outside the books, has been on an adventure with Atreyu, and when he sees the naïve empress and shouts "the new name of the Moon Fairy, the empress is reborn." As a token of gratitude, the naïve empress promised to fulfill all Bastian's wishes in the fantasy kingdom, and the excessive desire made Bastian lose himself for a while, until finally he suddenly realized: the truest wish in his heart is to find his lost love

This wish made him drink the water of life and return to human society from the fantasy realm. He is still the fat and clumsy boy, but the change in his heart allows him to hug his father, bravely enter a used bookstore and admit that he stole the book, even if his classmates will still laugh at him, he is no longer as unhappy as before.

Like "Mao Mao", this is also a work of human care. The kingdom of fantasy is swallowed by nothingness, and the naïve empress is dying, symbolizing the human nature of human beings who are gradually objectified in the process of civilization, losing imagination, and losing their naïve self, calling on human beings to find themselves and find lost love like Bastian. And those "ingenious designs" are even more exceptional. In this novel, Ender designs some special patterns, such as the two snakes connected from end to end, which is the amulet given to Atreyu by the Innocent Empress, Orin. And this pattern symbolizes the meaning of the infinite loop, and it perfectly matches the title of the book, "The story that never ends."

Just as the two snakes are end-to-end, there is also a brain-burning "cyclical structure" hidden in the book, Atreyu is a character in Bastian's book, so that at the end of the text, Bastian also has to wonder, "Is there another reader who is also reading his own story at this moment, and thinks like him, thinking that only he is reading this book?" ——And so on, maybe countless people will think the same way! "This is similar to the cycle structure of once upon a time there was a mountain, there was a temple in the mountain, and there was an old monk in the temple telling stories, and the content of the story was that there was a mountain in the past, there was a temple in the mountain, and there was an old monk telling stories in the temple", which is really "a story that can never be told, right?" Dizzy!

Well, this talk I will introduce is Mitchell Ende's "The Story That Never Ends". The novel is known as the German's "Journey to the West". So the story that never ends is full of fantasy adventures that never end. In the book, Bastian lives in a fantasy-devoid and loveless real world, which is very different from the fantasy world in which Atreyu lives. But the fantasy world is in danger, and it is desperately needed to be saved by the people of the world that lacks fantasy and love. Imagine if you also traveled to the fantasy world in the book and met a race of giants whose bodies are made of gray stones and feed on rocks; Centaur monsters with a human upper body and a horse lower body; Isn't it wonderful and exciting for Lady Aiola to blossom and bear fruit in the flowers and fruit trees on her hat and clothes? At the end of the story, the fantasy world is saved, and the little boy Bastian in the real world is also saved by his soul, he can treat life happily, and no longer hang his head down by the ridicule of others. Can you appreciate the deep meaning of kindness in fantasy? That's the end of Mitchellend's introduction. From the next lecture, we will turn our attention to Asia and see what wonderful works a Japanese children's writer, Naoko Anbo, will have.

1.5 [Day] Naoko Anbo: A world full of fantasy

"In my heart, there is a small place that I want to call a fairytale forest, that forest, it is dark, and the wind is always blowing", this Japanese female writer named Naoko Anbo not only lived in seclusion in the forest for many years, but also constructed a wonderful fairy tale forest with words. What kind of forest is this? Come and check it out!

First of all, Naoko Anbo's forest is absolutely beautiful. "Song of the Wind and Trees", "The Story of the Dusk Sea", "Silver Peacock", just listening to these names, it is already beautiful to make people reverie. Read her text carefully and you will find that each story has a beautiful setting.

"Many years ago at dusk of summer, the sea was sprinkled with the gold dust of the setting sun, and like golden fish scales, it rushed densely." This paragraph is from "The Story of the Dusk Sea".

"The lights at Yamazato Station are the color of ripe persimmons, and looking at the past from a little distance makes you suddenly want to cry with nostalgia." This paragraph is from the story "Firefly".

Not only the environment, but also Naoko's human nature is so beautiful that it makes people's hearts soft. The carpenter of "The Balcony No One Can See" is very good, but he often helps others do unpaid work, always making himself very poor. The dad in "Snow Window", facing a tanuki who came to learn oden, can be patient enough to teach it one by one, "This is a radish." "This is a cabbage roll," he patiently continued to teach, even though the tanuki nodded and forgot about it.

The humanity in the fairy tale forest is even so beautiful that there are no absolute bad guys, so don't expect bloody plots such as some bad guy being struck by lightning and blown away by bombs to appear in Naoko's book.

In addition, Naoko's forest is also a forest infested with monsters. In addition to the tanuki who had to learn oden, there was also a peppercorn essence that lived in peppercorns when he was a child, which was no different from ordinary girls, but would be transparent into a pale green light when he grew up; There is even a rain spirit Naoko who refuses to eat anything after tasting the sugar given by the farmer, and can only force her mother to go to the farmer's house to help with the rain, in exchange for sugar, Naoko seems to want all animals and plants to be personified, so that they and humans can stage a story full of love and "human touch",

For the idea that everything is spiritual, Naoko inherited it so well! In addition, the colorful colors in Naoko's forest can also be seen if you pay a little attention, and it seems that there is no writer who pays more attention to depicting colors than her. The Red Rose Hotel is introduced in "The Guest of the Red Rose Hotel", "It was a house made of cream-colored wood.

"Yellow Scarf" describes the old man: "The grandmother's face gradually turned a layer of rose, and her heart became younger." ”

"Rain and the Gentle Girl" "In the forest, there live the silver-haired rain spirit. ”

Did you stun Wow, Naoko subdivided white into a "creamy color", a "rose" in red, and the hair also boldly used silver that we often overlook, did you stunn?

And you have to ask what is Naoko's favorite color?

She herself said: "I believe that of all colors, there is no darker and more beautiful color than dark blue." "Because blue is the color of the sea and the sky, the darkest and most fantastical color". Visionary enough, right? Yes, Naoko Anbo's fairytale forest is such a beautiful, strange and colorful place.

Well, this lecture I will introduce to you is the famous Japanese children's writer Naoko Anbo. This lovely lady loves to live in seclusion in the forest, which in her writing also paints us a fairy tale forest full of color and fantasy. She inherits the traditional Japanese culture concept of "animism", so her protagonists, whether they are people, animals, plants, or even ghosts and spirits, are so kind and cute. Moreover, this person's use of color is also very unique, such as white, she can separate a cream color, red, can distinguish "rose". Now, do you know more about this Japanese children's literature author? In the next story, there is a story of a cute little fox waiting for you, let's talk about it again!

1.6 "Fox's Window": Foxes can be so cute

In this lecture, I would like to introduce you to Naoko Anbo's masterpiece, "The Fox's Window".

Blue is reportedly the color that Naoko Anbo is most obsessed with, so when did she fall in love with blue?

She said, "Before and after writing 'The Fox's Window,' I was particularly obsessed with blue. Whether it's clothes or things to carry, it's almost always the same dark blue. And what kind of dark blue story is "Fox's Window"?

At the beginning of the story, a hunter with a gun is walking on a familiar mountain road, but suddenly in a trance, he breaks into a field of blue bellflower flowers that he has never seen before, and a small white fox rushes through it. The hunter wanted to shoot it to death, but it would be better to follow it carefully and catch his whole family. The fox quickly disappeared, and a small printing and dyeing shop appeared in front of the hunter.

He saw at a glance that the clerk was turned into a fox, so he pretended to go in and dye. The fox asked to print him the clothes on his body, but he did not agree, and the fox thought that he could dye his fingers. And also made a demonstration. By putting four fingers dyed blue into the shape of a window, you can see the appearance of the little fox's mother, who has been killed by a shotgun. In fact, the hunter's mother also died in a fire, and the dark blue fingers dyed by the bellflower flowers gave him a way to remember his mother.

The hunter wants to thank the fox, who says it only wants the shotgun. After saying goodbye to the fox, the hunter magically returned to the familiar mountain path, gesturing his fingers happily all the way, but when he returned home, he habitually washed his hands, and the window disappeared.

After that, the hunter could never find the flower field, the fox. This classic showcases Naoko's creative style: beautiful bellflower fields and finger windows, special fox spirits, and melancholic deep blue colors. In addition, we can also see Naoko's characteristics that distinguish other fantasy writers: reality and fantasy are intertwined, and the lines are blurred. Think of The Chronicles of Narnia, to get to the world of Narnia, you have to use a wardrobe, right? Did Harry Potter also have to pass through platform nine and three-quarters to reach the wizarding world?

But the hunter of this story, without resorting to any tools, just hunted on the familiar mountain road, and broke into the bellflower field in the fantasy world without warning. Did that fox really exist? This blurred line between real and illusory is wonderful, right? The hunter who intended to take the fox's life, after dyeing his fingers, was able to gently give the precious shotgun to the fox because the fox gave the hunter a way to remember his mother. The fierce conflict between hunters and animals was thus resolved by Naoko's aestheticism. Even so, this beautiful story does not make people smile. Because in the story, Naoko once again touches on the heavy topic of death. When the hunter saw the fox's "window" for the first time and said, "This, this exactly," the fox only said, "This is my mother." ”

"A long, long time ago, I was slammed to death."

"Bang - is it a gun?"

"Yes, it's a gun." The fox's hands hung down gently, lowered his head, did not realize that his true face had been exposed, and kept saying: "Despite this, I still want to see my mother again." Even if it is just once, I want to see my dead mother again. That's what you call human favor, right? ”

Well, in this lecture, I will introduce Naoko Anbo's novel "The Fox's Window". The hunter in the story did not kill the fox, and the fox gave the hunter a window connected to the memories. Perhaps it is inevitable that each of us will not be able to say goodbye to our dearest loved ones because of death. Naoko uses the fox's window to beautify death, presumably with good intentions to alleviate our pain about death. So now that you understand this sad "Fox's Window", in the next lecture, I will introduce a more pleasant work by Naoko Anbo "The Hen with an Apron", let's talk about it again!

1.7 "The Hen in the Apron": The Chicken's Retribution

If "Fox's Window" is a dark blue melancholy story, then this "Hen in an Apron" should be one of the few golden sunshine stories of melancholy Naoko!

However, the beginning of the story is also shrouded in the sadness of death, and the wife of farmer Sanjuro dies of illness, leaving behind three children, five-year-old Hatsumi, three-year-old Shizu, and young baby Masayoshi.

While doing farm work, he also had to take care of his children's laundry and cooking, and Sanjuro soon fell ill in bed. One day, just as the children were helplessly crying "Hungry, hungry" by the pillow, a scream sounded outside the door, "Sanjuro, hello! Hatsumi ran out to see it and was stunned: it was a hen wearing an apron. Sanjuro recognized it as a chicken raised by his deceased wife, but he did not expect to fly to the land of the sun. Now that the hostess has died, she has returned with magic props to repay the favor. After that, the hen uses a magic small pot to boil delicious porridge during the day and make delicious dishes; At night, he would also take Hatsumi to hide in a dark closet, embroidering glowing stars, blood-red poppy grass flowers, and even galloping black horses with magic needlework.

The children love the hen more and more, and Sanjuro goes to find a fuss: he is tired of the same fried eggs, and even less fond of a chicken pretending to be a hostess. Later, at the instigation of the village aunt, Sanjuro wanted to marry the bride. While the unsuspecting hen was still excited to prepare the wedding meal, the aunt and Sanjuro wanted to treat the hen as a wedding dish. On her wedding day, Hatsumi found chicken meatballs, dried fried chicken, and stewed chicken in the kitchen, and ran in pain to cry under the plum blossom tree with only chicken feathers. At this time, the bride appeared, she actually built a tomb for chickens, and after the grass grew on the tomb, she also let her three children have three chickens. Unexpectedly, one day, the three chickens flew away towards the land of the sun. The family was overwhelmed, but Hatsumi was overjoyed, knowing that if they encountered difficulties in the future, they would come back with aprons and magic props.

The hen in the story is undoubtedly three-dimensional and vivid. When he spoke, it was a sharp and strange voice characteristic of chickens: "Sanchiro, hello!" "When you do the work, the movements are also very distinctive: you don't need a broom, a duster, just a few flaps of your wings to clean the house; When cooking, the two wings hold the toy-like pot, peck the egg with their mouth, beat it into the pot, and sing. What a cute hen monster!

Interestingly, this story also shows Naoko's playful and humorous side in a rare way. For example, when Sanjuro missed the delicious eggs made by his wife, the hen who noticed it actually said, "I'll go lay an egg and look at the fire!" Then he went to the straw pile in the corner of the room and laid a good egg. Isn't it cute to think that her fried eggs came from like this?

Of course, the most fascinating thing is the beautiful dream in the story. Some people should be curious, the hen with the apron is from the country of the sun, what kind of place is the country of the sun? There, "a beautiful field with endless eyes, fruits bearing gold, flowers of gold." The sun shines golden in the field, blowing the flute. Around it, there are a lot of magic props." In addition to the land of the sun, the dark wardrobe is equally beautiful, the hen embroidered a little black horse with magic needlework, and can lead Hatsumi to a wonderful dream with lilac clouds, stars smiling like bells, and sprinkling incense powder.

Well, in this lecture, I introduced Naoko Anbo's work "The Hen with the Apron". When the Sanjuro family was most helpless, the hen raised by the hostess fell from the sky and saved the family. The hen carries powerful magic props with her, cleaning, cooking, and housework. But the ungrateful Sanjuro, when he remarried, actually killed the hen to make the newlywed dish. The children cried sadly. If according to the general plot, this thirty lang will definitely be punished, but Naoko did not give him a terrible end, not only that, Naoko also described the cruel stepmother in other stories as gentle, kind, and understanding, she built a grave for the hen, and gave three new chicks to the three children, and the chickens grew up and flew to the capital of the sun! At this point, Naoko Anbo's works will be introduced here. The next lecture to appear is the beautiful and sad Andersen, let's talk about it again!

1.8 [Dan] Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tale style: But there are more than princes and princesses

Everyone has read his "The Ugly Duckling", but not everyone may know that Hans Christian was himself the ugly duckling: ugly and disliked everywhere. The family was so poor that he could only use a coffin and wooden plank as a bed, and his father died of illness when he was still 11 years old, and before he died, he told him that he must not give up his dreams.

He remembered it in his heart, so at the age of 14, he dared to go to the capital Copenhagen to seek his dreams and want to be a singer, but poverty and sickness had robbed him of his lark voice; I want to be a dancer, but my slender body is as thin as a piece of paper, and I really can't dance beautifully; Writing scripts, novels, and poems is also unappreciated. But he stubbornly continued to write, continued to write, until he wrote "The Lighter Box" at the age of 30, and accidentally discovered: the original fairy tale creation can get so much love from children.

Andersen's fairy tales became increasingly popular, and even the king invited him to the palace to compose them. With perseverance, the ugly duckling Hans Christian Andersen also became a white swan.

Although Andersen succeeded, after all, there were so many pains, so no matter how beautiful his fairy tales are, they are always dyed with a strong layer of tragedy.

For example, "The Determined Tin Soldier", which writes about a toy tin soldier who accidentally misses a leg, and he falls in love with a beautiful dancing girl made of paper in a toy box. But the little goblin was jealous and tortured the one-legged tin soldier. In order to return to his beloved dancing girl, how many hardships he overcame along the way, and finally reunited, but Andersen let the elf trickster throw the tin soldier into the stove, and the dancing girl also fell into the stove with the wind, and also flew to him and turned into flames.

Then there is "Daughter of the Sea", which is even more well-known as a fairy tale. The little mermaid did not care how hard she fought for the prince, she would rather endure the pain of the fish's tail splitting and her tongue cut off, and pursue the noble and pure soul of mankind. However, Hans Christian Andersen arranged for the prince to misunderstand that another girl saved him, and the little mermaid could not speak, and could only watch the prince marry someone else. Until the end, it turned into a churning bubble.

"The Little Girl Who Sold Matches", when everyone was immersed in the joy of Christmas, she closed her eyes forever in the snowdrift. Behind every sad story, are Hans Christian Andersen's affectionate tears! Perhaps you children don't naturally like tragedy, but you have to admit that it is because Andersen writes so honestly about his sadness that his story has those moving episodes that will never be forgotten.

Even if you wait until you are 100 years old, you will not forget the scene in "The Ugly Duckling", right? "But what did he see in this clear water? He saw his own reflection. But it was no longer a clumsy, dark gray, ugly and annoying duck, but a swan! ”

As long as you have read "Snow Queen", you must remember that in the face of Gai's frozen heart by the Snow Queen, "Little Gerda shed many tears. Tears flowed to his chest, seeped into his heart, and broke down a small fragment of the mirror inside", and only love can save all indifference.

Of course, Andersen is not always unhappy, there are times of funny humor, spicy irony, isn't it? "The Emperor's New Clothes", when all the adults praised "Obediently, the emperor's new clothes are really beautiful!" in order to avoid exposing their stupidity!" How beautiful the back hem underneath his blouse is! How well the clothes fit! A naïve child cried out, "But he didn't wear any clothes!" "This stupid but arrogant emperor is funny enough. Andersen's satirical writing and humorous words are also shown in this work.

In "The Ugly Duckling", the murderous hunting dog has put its nose on its body, showing its sharp teeth, but suddenly runs away, and the ugly duckling can only sigh: "Ah, thank God!" I'm so ugly that even the hounds don't bite me! "What a humorous self-deprecation!

Even the sad "Little Girl Who Sold Matches", in her hallucinations, once had "a roast goose jumping out of the plate, with a knife and fork on its back, hobbled on the ground, and kept walking in front of this poor little girl." ”

Well, in this lecture, I introduced Hans Christian Andersen and his works of fairy tales. Andersen, we are all too familiar with this Danish born fairy tale master, although he has been dead for more than a hundred years, he is still the pride of Denmark, sculptures can be seen everywhere in the Danish capital Copenhagen, even on traffic lights. Andersen does deserve such remembrance. Because he created a sad but fantasy fairy tale world for children. In this world, Hans Christian Andersen sings about goodness, friendship, bravery, and other good things, and also satirizes and criticizes pride, jealousy, insidious and other ugly characters. This is Hans Christian Andersen, is he also a fond memory of your childhood? Then here, the introduction to Hans Christian Andersen is over, and the next lecture will appear is the pride of the Arab nation "One Thousand and One Nights", let's talk about it again!

1.9 [A] "One Thousand and One Nights": The story basket of Sanruzod

A long, long time ago, there was an island nation. One day, when the king discovers that the queen is playing with the slaves, the king is furious because of the queen's infidelity, and not only kills the queen, but also takes revenge on all the women.

After that, he married a woman every day, killed and married again the next day, the girls died and fled, and finally one day, the prime minister could not find the next woman to marry the king. While he was anxious about his execution, his daughter Shanruzod volunteered to marry the king.

The witty Mountain Ruzod told the king the story of "The Merchant and the Devil" on their wedding night, and when it was time to execute Mountain Ruzod at dawn, the story happened to be the most exciting, and of course the king could not bear to start for the next plot.

In this way, Sanruzod told the king the story of one thousand and one nights, and finally moved the king to grow old with her, and ordered the historian to record these stories and became the book "One Thousand and One Nights".

Of course, Shan Ruzod is just a character in the book, not a real author! "One Thousand and One Nights" should be attributed to the crystallization of the collective wisdom of many folk artists. Although the title of the book is "One Thousand and One Nights", according to statistics, there are only 134 big stories, and there are 264 short stories in the big story. Because the mainland called the Arab countries "Kingdom of Heaven" in ancient times, and it was also a story talked about at night, it was also called "Heavenly Night", and "Tan" means "talk". These fragmented stories can be strung together by the subtle structure of serial nesting.

Shan Ruzod's story to the king is the biggest story in the entire book, and there are many small stories nested in the story she tells.

For example, in "The Fisherman's Story" told by Shan Ruzod, the fisherman rescues a devil from a sealed bottle, but the devil takes revenge and kills the fisherman. When the fisherman seals the devil back into the bottle again, the devil begs the fisherman to release himself, saying that he will grant any of his wishes.

The fisherman did not believe the devil's words, but told him a "story of the king and the doctor, and the story of the king and the doctor is nested" the story of the four-colored fish, and the story of the "four-colored fish" is also set with the story of the demon prince, there is a story in the story, there is a story in the story, and the wisdom of the Arab nation is really admirable, admired!

And the most admirable thing is the peculiar imagination that is everywhere in the book. In "Aladdin's Magic Lamp", the magician recited a spell that Aladdin could not understand in the thick blue smoke, and the earth suddenly shook, and the ground suddenly cracked. Amazing enough, right?

During his voyage, Sinbad once encountered a big fish, which grew grass and trees because its body was full of sand, and after a long time it formed the appearance of an island, until unsuspecting people built a fire on it and cooked rice, and the big fish finally moved; He also met the apes who were as many as flying locusts in the mountains, they were the ugliest beasts, their hair was like the mane of a lion, their eyes were yellow and black, and their bodies were short, and they could not understand what they spoke. Bizarre too, right?

In addition, the Arab nation likes to express its heart in poetry on any occasion, so it has the characteristics of "poetry and writing." A beautiful girl who came out of the box was praised by the poem as:

Her brilliance illuminates the night,

Brilliant daylight followed.

She shines brilliantly,

Paint flowers and trees gold.

When she removed the veil and showed her face,

The sun absorbed more light from her look.

As soon as she emerged from the veil that was lifted,

Everything in the universe knelt sideways to her.

Is this kind of beauty depicted in poetry breathtaking enough?

Well, in this story, I will introduce you to the wonderful collection of Arab stories, "One Thousand and One Nights". Ancient Arabia

It is called the "Kingdom of Heaven", and because the story inside is told to the king by Shan Ruzod at night, this story is so

The set is also called the Fantasy Night." In this work, Sanruzod tells the king a story, which is itself the largest story, with 264 small stories nested between the big stories. Each story has its own protagonist, such as Aladdin's magic lamp, the protagonist is the poor boy Aladdin, and when it comes to Sinbad's sailing story, the protagonist is Sinbad. These stories are full of exotic interest for us, you can appreciate the style of Arabian desert culture, on the other hand, there are many beautiful poems in these stories, read carefully, you will find that the Arab nation is really a people who love to sing! At this point, the introduction of "One Thousand and One Nights" will come to an end, and the next lecture, children's literature to appear, will finally be our country's turn. As for how sacred this writer is, and how wonderful his works are, let's talk about it later!

1.10 Cao Wenxuan: Hans Christian Andersen of China

He was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award, a heavyweight world award, and with his Hans Christian Andersen-like aesthetic and sad style, he used classical poetic words to adhere to his aesthetic beliefs, he is the contemporary Chinese novelist Cao Wenxuan.

Cao Wenxuan once said: "Although there are thousands of ways to generate beauty, the most important and most effective way is to describe the environment", so you can enjoy the beautiful environment of Jiangsu's water town in his novel.

In the book "Grass House", for the appearance of the protagonist Sangsang, only two sentences are used: "Sangsang is the son of the principal Sancho." Sangsang's home is on the campus of Yau Ma Tei Primary School, which is also a grass house. ”

And the environment of the grass house is described in a large paragraph:

Before and after these grass houses, or between these grass houses, there is always some arrangement, or a clump of two clumps of bamboo, or three plants of two roses, or a patch of colorful canna, or simply a small patch of grass mixed with small flowers. These arrangements, without a trace of deliberation, as if this campus was originally like this. This straw house does not look tall, but the roof is large, but the inside is very spacious. This kind of straw house is actually very expensive, it is not built of ordinary straw or wheat straw, but of thatch from the beach three hundred miles away. The thatch grows vigorously on the beach, and it grows resilient under the sea breeze and the unobstructed sun. When the sun shines, it shines like copper wire, and when the sea breeze blows, it can make a metallic sound. ”

From the arrangement of plants between the houses, to the spaciousness, to "it was not made of ordinary straw or wheat straw, but thatch from the beach three hundred miles away." That thatch grows vigorously on the beach, blown by the sea breeze and exposed to the unobstructed sun, one by one, it grows very tough, the sun shines, shining like copper wire, the sea breeze blows, it can actually make a metallic sound", such delicate brushstrokes, Cao Wenxuan's novel is really as exquisite as a work of art!

The environment of his hometown is undoubtedly precious, and the childhood memories of his hometown are the source of inspiration for Cao Wenxuan's creations. It is a memory of poverty and suffering belonging to the sixties and seventies of the twentieth century, but in Cao Wenxuan's writing, suffering also emits the light of beauty.

For example, fat meat, we may not look at fat now, greasy is not healthy, but in the sixties and seventies, what was fat in people's eyes? It is "like jade, mutton fat jade, very crystalline, like snow that has become very clean after a long time", in poor times, people's eyes of fat meat is so wonderful, Cao Wenxuan's metaphor is also just right.

Another example is in "Bronze Sunflower", after the locust plague, the protagonist Bronze and Sunflower went to dig up reed roots to fill their hunger, and the heavy rain separated the two, and when they reunited after many hardships, they returned home covered in mud, and the text wrote: "When the rain passed and the sky was clear, the bronze led the cow and limped out of the reeds." On the back of the cow, sat sunflowers. She was carrying the basket, and the reed roots in it had long been washed clean by the rain, one by one, white as ivory.

Such a calm and beautiful text makes people smile with tears in the face of all kinds of misfortunes.

And Cao Wenxuan's deepest beauty is reflected in human nature. Although there are also hatred, hurt, revenge, etc. in the novel, the ugliness and evil that can be seen on the surface will eventually be replaced by the hidden goodness and beauty. In the article "A Yan", in a boat crash, A Yan's father can't swim, and finally grabbed the arm of the big dog his father, and the big dog's father actually stuffed a flashlight into the hands of A Yan's father in order to survive, and then let go and swam up. Ah Yan has always held a grudge against his father's death, and has become a little villain to take revenge on everyone, and once, he even made a bad mistake and dragged a big dog that could not swim to the boat for a long journey, but he happened to encounter a dam burst and could not return. After three days, the two could only rely on bitter reed roots to feed themselves, and the hungry and cold big dog was full of tremors, and Ah Yan actually ran into the reeds, regardless of being stabbed covered in blood, found a few wild duck eggs and fed them to the big dog's mouth. Finally, in order to catch the wild duck, he jumped with all his strength and threw himself into the water.

When people found the big dog, he always said to himself: "Brother Ah Yan left, Brother A Yan walked naked, in order to warm the big dog, Ah Yan took off all his clothes to him."

Well, in this lecture, I will introduce you to our country's children's literature writer - Cao Wenxuan. He has been nominated for the "International Hans Christian Andersen Award Major Award." His children's literature is full of the tranquility and beauty of the modern countryside, both the environment and the characters, it is so pure and beautiful. For example, "Root Bird", "Grass House", "Bronze Sunflower" and "Goats Don't Eat Paradise Grass" are all worth your careful taste, so what about the next lecture, I will take you to feel the beauty of "The Eleventh Red Strip", let's talk about it again!

1.11 The Eleventh Red Strip: Unicorn, moo! Moo!

In this lecture, I will take you to appreciate Mr. Cao Wenxuan's "Eleventh Red Strip".

In Cao Wenxuan's novel, "beauty is everywhere, among which there is a kind of "beauty" that is the most unique, it is called "incomplete beauty", and "The Eleventh Red Strip" is a short story about "incomplete beauty".

At the beginning of the story, the story describes the legend, first highlighting the flaws in the appearance of the protagonist Mako's grandfather, "a black pockmarked face full of black pockmarks, short in size, and hunched over, like carrying a heavy iron pot". And the character flaws made him a terrible old man. He has a special unicorn, and the little ones sometimes can't help but sneak up on two laps.

So when the old man sees it, what will he do? When the old man saw it, "without squeaking, he chased after him with his head stuffed, grabbed the cow rope, and then dragged the child off the back of the cow and fell to the ground", so it is no wonder that the children cursed behind their backs: "Mazi hemp, throw nail rake, throw it to the big river, and the butt falls in half."

So strange and indifferent, the whole village almost forgot about him living alone in the woods, until one day, Liangzi unfortunately fell into the water. When he was carried ashore, he had "a bulging belly high and not a trace of breath in his nostrils." At this time, the doctor went into the city, and no one could breathe artificial respiration. Everyone was in a hurry, and someone suddenly remembered: you can find a unicorn to help.

What will the usually indifferent Grandpa Mako do? When someone came to the door, he was curled up on the bed and coughing, and after understanding the meaning, he actually trembled and got out of bed, untied the ox rope, and then ran all the way to the threshing ground with his weak legs. People lay bright boys on the back of cows.

Hearing this, you may ask, obviously Liangzi needs artificial respiration? Why do people still ask unicorns for help? It turns out that there is a legend in this village that as long as the child is saved, the cow will move.

Everyone looked nervously at the unicorn, which "mooed", but the two front hooves planed the ground uneasily, refusing to move forward. Grandpa Mako gripped the cow rope and forced the cow with his eyes, and the cow finally ran, and ran faster and faster, the hoof prints were stacked with hoof prints, and dust was flying everywhere.

But the unicorn was old, ran for a while, and foamed out of his mouth, and Grandpa Mako was not to mention, his face was gray, he almost fell several times, his hand supported the ground, and he stood up desperately. Someone ran in to replace him, but he slammed him away. Suddenly, Liang Zai spat out a mouthful of water, followed by a "wow" cry. Everyone gathered around Ryōzai.

The unicorn "mooed, so according to custom, people tied red cloth strips to the cow to show their gratitude." After a while, the cow "mooed and walked back and forth under the haystacks, and people suddenly remembered: "Oh, Grandpa Mako", only then did they see that Grandpa Mako, with his back against the haystacks, hanging two soft and weak arms, had fallen asleep forever.

Well, what I will take you to enjoy with you in this lecture is Cao Wenxuan's work "The Eleventh Red Stripe", the biggest feature of this novel is to keep the suspense until the last moment. Grandpa Mazi fell asleep forever, and it was not until this moment that we suddenly realized: it turns out that the whole text has been "wanting to promote and suppress first", and the previous article said how bad Grandpa Mazi looks and personality, all in order to form a sharp contrast with the self-denial at this moment! Later, when Grandpa Mako was buried, people found ten other red cloth strips in his arms, so this was the eleventh, the one that gave his life. It is also known that the reason why the cow was sawed off a horn was because when it was first bought, it did not listen to the command, delayed the rescue time of a child, and was punished by Grandpa Mazi.

The death of Grandpa Mako cast a layer of sadness on the story, but the story did not end there. Grandpa Mako is gone, what is the fate of the unicorn, who is also very old?

A few days later, the unicorn probably wanted to swim across the river to see Mako's grandfather's grave, but he also lost his strength and drowned.

"Its unicorn stood upright upwards, and the eleventh bright red cloth strip tied to its horn fluttered in the wind blowing over the river

In fact, there are many people in reality, they seem indifferent, even hateful, but in fact, they also have a hot heart! So here, the introduction of "The Eleventh Red Strip" is over, and in the next lecture I want to introduce another work of Cao Wenxuan "Grass House", let's talk about it again!

1.12 Shen Shixi: Animal eyes speak

He has loved animals since he was a child, and when he went to the countryside, he resolutely chose the most remote Yunnan, just because he saw in the book: Xishuangbanna is a natural zoo. Living in the rainforest familiarized him with numerous wildlife, providing him with valuable life experience for his later animal fiction creation.

He is the "king of Chinese animal novels" - Shen Shixi.

Shen Shixi once said: "The subject matter of animal fiction is the easiest to pierce the shell of human culture, the whitewashing of etiquette, the restraint of morality and the hypocritical appearance of civilized society, and can directly express the original life that integrates ugliness and beauty without concealment." ”

It seems that his purpose is not simply to write about animals, but also to expose human nature! Therefore, in addition to some early short works, Shen Shixi's influential animal images all present the characteristics of bestiality and human nature.

In the article "Elephant Tomb" as an example, the sixty-year-old elephant king Tsifu doted on his youngest son Longka, even though the elephant herd stipulated that the male elephant would leave the elephant herd when he became an adult, but Tsfu still left his beloved Longka, but the child that Tsfu liked had to challenge his authority. Shen Shixi wrote: "It looked back in surprise, it was Longka, and it was glaring at it angrily with its teeth. It was well aware that this provocative act, of a disorderly nature, had opened the curtain on another struggle for the throne. This description undoubtedly gave the elephant the same mental activity as a human being, thinking about what provocation is.

In addition to Tsuf, the description of Longka is also very expressive: "Look, the eyes of this guy Ronka reflect pride and pride, and the fan-like ears are also gloating." Of course, this guy must be proud, and he ascended to the throne of the head elephant at a young age." The elephant Longka was given the same "proud and proud look" as a human by Shen Shixi.

Not only the beast-faced human heart, but also the animals written by Shen Shixi also have the characteristics of "indifference and warmth". In "Love Leopard Buchai", when the money leopard Buchai captures prey, it can float down silently from a four-meter-high branch like a golden net, and then "with a click, it crushes the backbone of a small yellow deer." Grab its body with three more paws, free one front paw to pat its delicate cheek, and the little yellow deer will never open its eyes. For elephants, he can easily twist the neck of a gray-haired mavage elephant and tear the face of a white-haired mammoth to pieces. The wail of the mother elephant can frighten the water back of the Yingjiang River.

But it is such a brutal carnivore that can dare to rush down the stone hill with a roar when its kind is about to die in the mouth of the tiger, and jump into the air with the tiger.

In another fierce fight, it was thrown by the elephant's trunk volley, fell heavily on the edge of the cliff, fell two hind legs, and was trampled on the vertebrae by the elephant leg, and after being disabled, in order not to become a mastiff for his wife, finally jumped into the wild boar's den by himself, let the rigid pig's bristle pierce its leopard eyes, its fangs drilled through its belly, and it used its last strength to bite off the throat of the wild boar as a final gift to his wife. What a cruel, but bloody money leopard!

Well, in this lecture, I will introduce you to Shen Shixi, a contemporary Chinese children's literature writer and animal fiction king. Because of his experience in Yunnan in his youth, he became familiar with many wild animals, and he once said: "Without animals, human beings would live very lonely, and the earth would seem too lonely." Animals are a mirror of human beings, and all the advantages and all the disadvantages of human beings can be found in almost all different kinds of animals. "For example, "Elephant Tomb", the elderly elephant king Tsifu and the proud son Longka, and the money leopard who is heavy on justice but has the cruel side of predators. In addition to what I introduced, every animal novel such as the white swan red coral who is too self-loving and self-pitying, and the war elephant that remembers the collective honor to the end, and the hybrid jackal Shen Shixi, who always cannot find his accurate position between the identity of the jackal and the dog, can make you read familiar humanity. So in the next lecture, I will specifically introduce a Shen Shixi's animal novel "Wolf King Dream", what is the dream of the wolf becoming a king, let's talk about it again!

1.13 "Wolf King Dream": The history of the wolf king's cultivation

In this lecture, I want to introduce "Wolf King Dream".

From the 80s of the 20th century to the present, Shen Shixi's diligent pen has created a large number of animal novels, and "Dream of the Wolf King" has always been his shocking representative work.

This is a novel story, and the title is easily reminiscent of an inspirational story about a male wolf who persevered to become the wolf king. In fact, at the beginning of the novel, the male wolf Heisang, who once wanted to ascend the throne of the wolf king, has unfortunately died in a duel with the wild boar. Heisang has a pregnant wife named Zilan, who is determined to raise her offspring into a new generation of wolf kings, so her life with her children revolves around the dream of the wolf king.

It's a very cruel and magnificent dream story, cruel from the beginning. On the night Zilan gave birth, no

With a husband to catch prey, it can only go to the human deer farm to hunt deer, but was chased by the big white dog, a fierce duel between you and me, causing it to give birth in advance halfway, when it took five wolf cubs back into the hole in turn, the last one was frozen to death because it delayed too long. And in order to make the hungry body secrete milk, it even went so far as to eat the dead wolf cub.

After that, it cultivated the strongest little wolf black cub, and this child, who was bred too boldly, stepped out of the cave too early and was taken away by the golden eagle.

Zi Lan did not give up, and let Lan Soul become a cultivation object. In order to stimulate Lan Soul'er's brutal wolf nature, when fighting for prey, Lan Soul'er asked her mother for help, but was bitten the back; Asking his mother to share food was unceremoniously beaten two feet away. Zi Lan's hellish training for Lan Soul'er, coupled with the pain in Lan Soul'er's own heart, finally fermented and condensed into his teeth and claws.

Lan Soul has become accustomed to rushing to the front every time she hunts and becoming the bravest wolf, but unfortunately she immediately landed on Lan Soul's body, and she fell into the trap during a hunt. In order not to let Lan Soul become the prey of the hunter, Zilan personally bit it in two and took it away.

Two children had already died because of the dream of the wolf king, and then, Zilan shifted her target to Shuangmao, a cowardly, even servile wolf, so this time, Zilan carried out the most ruthless violent rule. When preying, force it to be the first to pounce on its prey, forcing it to chase desperately, whether it is so tired that it foams at the mouth or twitches on all fours. Once it is found to be lazy, it will immediately pounce and tear off its fur, biting and bleeding before stopping. The constant increase in humiliation finally caused Shuangmao's servility to completely collapse and burst out all of his wolf nature.

But when it was about to knock the Wolf King to the ground, it was still shocked by the power of the king that the Wolf King instantly stimulated, and finally lost in its own servility that could not fade.

Now, Zi Lan has only one child left, it is called Mei Mei, it is a she-wolf, and Zi Lan still finds hope and can continue to pin the dream of the wolf king on the wolf grandchildren. In the end, in order to protect the safety of it and the child in the womb during Mei's childbirth, Zilan disguised herself as a prey, let the golden eagle that flew to the cave take herself away, and then hugged the old eagle tightly when her life hung in the balance, and after a fierce battle in the air, the two sides fell to death on the rocky beach together.

Well, in this lecture, I introduced Shen Shixi's famous animal novel "Wolf King Dream". In this story, Shen Shixi indulges in leaving the authenticity of zoology, allowing Zilan to have human-like emotions and thinking at all times, even if she knows that this is only a literary virtuality, but still cannot stop the shock that the work brings us. Is Zilan's attachment to the dream of the wolf king a valuable persistence, or a terrible stubbornness? Although chasing dreams is always encouraged, sometimes unattainable dreams become a stumbling block? Is it too much of a burden to impose your dreams on your children? There is so much to think about, it is worth reading well. Now that you know the story of the wolf, in the next story, the protagonist will turn into a cunning-looking fox, let's talk about it again!

1.14 "Tricked by the Fox Again": Cunning is also about survival

In this lecture, I want to introduce Shen Shixi's work "Deceived by the Fox Again"

In the animal kingdom, foxes have become notoriously synonymous with cunning, and the fox in Shen Shixi's "Tricked by the Fox Again", although it is cunning and deceived, makes people feel good about being deceived. Come and find out the story with me!

There are two fox deceptions throughout the story, the first of which, apparently as a clever foreshadowing, appears at the beginning of the article. At the beginning of the story, there is a human "me", I was carrying a big fat chicken home along the ancient river road, and suddenly I saw a male fox dying on the rocky beach more than a dozen steps away, and saw "I was still panicking and trying to escape, but I fell weakly."

The fox's fall can be said to be miserable enough, and the fox "fell straight to the ground, with a grunt, and the back of his head smashed heavily on the pebbles; It lay on its back on the ground, the butterfly-like white spot between its eyebrows twisting painfully, looking at me desperately",

Such a seamless series of movements, of course, made me believe that I could catch it as soon as I stepped forward. So he put the chicken under the banana tree next to him, untied his trouser belt and twisted it into a circle, and stepped forward to put a cap around the fox's neck. Unexpectedly, it suddenly jumped out like a "resurrection". Turning his head again, a female fox had already run to the other side of the ancient river channel with the chicken in her hand. It turned out that on the other side of the ancient river channel, this female fox was waiting for the acting fox to fool me so that I could snatch the chicken away. Now, two guys, one with a chicken head and the other with a chicken leg, smiled triumphantly at me and left.

What a wonderful action, which also formed the "my gap mentality." "My plan was to capture a fox alive and go back to show off, but I ended up going back humiliated and laughed at by the village chief, with the regret of losing money, the anger of being deceived, and the anger of being looked down upon by the fox, and it seems that only another contest can resolve this conflict."

Sure enough, one morning a few months later, there was a second contest. "I went to cut firewood, and I smelled foxes in front of a fallen tree, and then I saw a fox popping out of the hole under the root, with a butterfly-like white spot between my eyebrows, isn't it the male fox from last time?" Running more than twenty meters away, it tripped over the vine and rolled several times, pumping in pain. With the experience of last time, who doesn't know that it is repeating the old trick! Only this time there is no chicken, what is its purpose?

It turns out that the hole under the root of the tree is its home, and the family is in it. "I didn't go after it, but I raised my firewood knife and guarded the hole, and when the female fox poked out her head, I slashed it down. The male fox foamed at the mouth, looked at "me", roared bitterly, and stalemated for ten minutes.

The so-called foaming at the mouth is actually a trick of the male fox, that is, to make "I go after him and give up the fox's nest." However, ten minutes later, the male fox saw that I was still not fooled, and it suddenly crashed into a tree, and the right side of its face was instantly blurred with blood and flesh, and it tore off a piece of skin, which was hanging on its chest, and the blood stained it red.

"I was distracted by its crazy move, and the female fox took the opportunity to carry a cub into the bushes in the distance.

I came back to my senses and stuck my ear into the hole to listen to the screams of the other little foxes. The male fox was so anxious that he kept tearing the wounds on his body with his paws, and he was covered in blood, until I couldn't bear to lie on my stomach at the mouth of the cave.

Soon, it heard the command of the female fox again, and suddenly shoved the knee of one of its front legs into its mouth, biting it down hard, and the bones clicked. Even though I knew in my heart that all this was still a trick to divert my attention, I still went after it and chased it. Several times I almost cut it, but in the end I couldn't bear to do it. The voice of the female fox announcing safety came from the bushes, "I hope it runs away as cunningly as last time, but it can't run away after losing too much blood."

Well, in this lecture, I will introduce Shen Shixi's work "Scammed by the Fox Again". Shen Shixi is a writer who likes to use the technique of wanting to promote and suppress first, and at the beginning he wrote that two foxes cooperated with tacit understanding to make a tacit understanding of human beings. In this description, the fox forms a cunning image; However, later, in order not to let "I hurt my own family, the male fox desperately performed deception, even if the deception has been discovered, it still desperately deceives", in fact, this can no longer be considered a deception, this is sacrificing for his own home! In the end, we are moved by the stark contrast of this story: what we thought was just a cunning bad fox, but unexpectedly a good father who was so loyal to his family that he would rather crush his bones; Thinking that I would not be fooled again after learning my lesson, I finally volunteered to be deceived by the fox again.
