Taihuanggu is located 5 kilometers southwest of Baiyan Town, Pingyi County, with an area of 2.3 square kilometers and an altitude of 505 meters. It is a typical geomorphological feature of Daigu.

During the Anti-Japanese War, the area around Taihuanggu belonged to our Lunan's anti-Japanese base. On March 24, 1943, the Battle of Taihuanggu, which was nominally fought against the Japanese invading army, took place here. In February 1944, in order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died heroically in the battle of Taihuanggu, the Huanggu District Agricultural Rescue Association built the Martyrs' Cemetery and the Monument to the Martyrs of the Taihuanggu in Baiyanhedong, under the Taihuanggu.
