Qin Shi Huang Huan Zheng (259–210 BC), son of King Xiang of Qin Zhuang and Zhao Ji. An outstanding statesman, strategist, and reformer in ancient China, a political figure who completed the unification of China for the first time, and the first monarch in China to be called emperor. He is also the monarch known as the first emperor of China. From 230 to 221, the six kingdoms of Korea, Zhao, Wei, Chu, Yan, and Zhu perished one after another, completing the great cause of unifying China and establishing a centralized unified multi-ethnic state.
In ancient China, polygamy was practiced. In married life, a man can take one wife and accommodate multiple concubines. Among the husband's many partners, the wife has the highest status and the concubine is in a subordinate position. So did the common people, and so did the emperor. The first wife was the highest ranking in the family. The empress was the emperor's only wife and played a very important role. In the Confucian classic Book of Rites, the Son of Heaven and his empress complement each other like the sun and the moon, the yang and the yin. After the emperor ascends the throne, he will choose the empress to rule the six palaces and the mother of the world. The ancients always said, "A nation cannot be without a king." The queen's position cannot remain empty for long. The selection of empresses contributes to the stability of the dynasty's rule, the stability of the country, and there must be yin and yin, complementing each other.
Why didn't the first government in Chinese history to complete the great unification have an empress? This has always been a mystery. Every generation of emperors must come to the world to ascend the throne as emperor, and empresses are standard. During the Qin Dynasty, kings of various countries had queens according to the custom, why is there no record of this wise and martial first emperor and empress in history?
Some people say that Yingzheng may have made an empress, but for some reason deposed the empress, so instead of building a mausoleum, she was deleted from the history books. This is unlikely. As a result, Sima Qian wrote the Shiji only more than 100 years before the era in which Qin Shi Huang lived. If Yue Zheng had been appointed empress, he would not have left any clues. So why didn't he make a queen?
Ying Zheng was influenced by his mother during the reign of King Qin. Her mother Zhao Xi is a very woman, which has brought a shadow to Ying Zheng, so Ying Zheng is very cautious about women. At the same time, due to the more cautious appointment of the empress, the government itself acted arbitrarily, let alone the empress.
So is there really no queen in history? Strangely, there is not a single record of Empress Yuzheng and Imperial Princess in ancient sources. This is unacceptable. If Ying Zheng did not have an imperial princess, he could not have descendants. This is not true.
Empress and princess are not recorded in ancient sources. So where did Yingzheng's married wife go? As a married wife, Yingzheng declared her empress to canonize her. As a result, there is not a single record of this woman in historical sources. Descendants can only guess the whereabouts of the empress.
It may be that after the development of science and technology, we have the basis of not destroying the imperial tomb, and dig again, perhaps with the passage of time and the progress of the times, many historical truths will eventually be revealed.
