Papua New Guinea Foreign Minister Takachenko recently announced that they have closed the so-called "Papua New Guinea Commercial Representative Office in Taiwan", in which Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that China highly affirms and appreciates this move, which once again shows that adhering to the one-China principle is the aspiration of the people of the international community and the trend of the times.

1. Any act of maintaining official exchanges with the Taiwan region is unacceptable and violates the "one-China principle." Papua New Guinea has clearly made the right choice for the benefit of its own development, which is in line with international consensus.

As everyone knows, those so-called "Taiwan friends" are small underdeveloped countries with backward development and low economic levels, and most of them choose to contact Taiwan because they are willing to be "wronged big leaders" and throw money at them. It is precisely because the country's comprehensive strength is not high, they have no room to resist the pressure of the United States.
4. In the same way, these countries that are easy to be manipulated can hardly provide any useful help to the Taiwan authorities, and even if they speak out for the Taiwan authorities internationally, they will not have much influence because their capabilities are really limited. The Taiwan authorities' maintenance of this relationship can only play a role in bolstering themselves at most.
