Those things about cat immunity
Yesterday I talked about the knowledge of cats biting or scratching, and today I will introduce you to the knowledge about cat immunity.
Why should cats be vaccinated
The purpose of cat vaccination is to prevent infectious diseases, mainly to prevent cat plague, cat infectious rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, rabies, etc., generally cats can start vaccination at two months old, the first immunization needs to be vaccinated with four shots, three shots to prevent infectious diseases, a shot of rabies vaccine, the interval between each shot is about three weeks to four weeks, vaccination and deworming on time, can prevent infectious diseases and parasites to a large extent.
About vaccines
There are four vaccines we have access to:
Domestic cat plague vaccine to prevent cat cancer.
Domestic cat dual vaccine to prevent cat plague and rabies.
Imported cat triple to prevent cat cancer, viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus
Imported cat quadruple to prevent the above three diseases and rabies.
There are three kinds of vaccines for cats (cat plague, cat nasal branches, cat cups) are the most common and highly dangerous for cats, and must be vaccinated, called the core vaccine.
Rabies vaccine is also necessary, cats are susceptible animals to rabies virus, belonging to the storage host of rabies virus. If a cat is scratched or bitten by another animal that has rabies, or if the mucous membranes come into contact with the secretions of a sick animal, it can be infected with rabies virus, which is 100% fatal. Cats infected with rabies virus are also a great threat to people. Therefore, cats must also be vaccinated against rabies. Usually cats are over three months old and can be vaccinated against rabies after three doses of the vaccine, once a year.
The number of immunizations is indicated on the vaccine according to the instructions of the vaccine manufacturer. For cats over 16 weeks old, imported vaccines can be injected once, and once a year thereafter.

Cat vaccination is contraindicated
After figuring out the vaccine, also check whether your cat is eligible for vaccination, because vaccinating cats is also contraindicated.
Cats who have just arrived in their new home are not recommended to be vaccinated immediately, and need to be observed for more than half a month, and sick cats cannot be vaccinated, and they can only be vaccinated if there is no abnormality in the body.
It is not recommended to vaccinate cats before 8 weeks, because cats may not be completely weaned, and "maternal antibodies" will affect the effect of the vaccine.
The primary immunization must first deworm the cat in vitro and in vivo, because the parasite will have an impact on the efficacy of the cat vaccine. The ideal case is a pioneer worm, post-immune; If you can't do it optimally, choose a team vaccination-free anthelmintic drug, such as Big Pamper.
If the cat is sick or has been in contact with a cat with an infectious disease after the first dose of vaccine, you need to stop and observe, and you cannot be vaccinated for half a month, and then vaccinated when the cat recovers.
Pregnant female cats should not be vaccinated against weak viruses, which will cause miscarriage; Cats with leukemia and AIDS cannot be vaccinated.
Cats need to be observed in the hospital for 20 minutes after vaccination before leaving, if the cat has an allergic reaction (facial edema, shortness of breath, itching, etc.) after vaccination, please ask the doctor to desensitize in time. It usually takes 7-10 days after vaccination, so do not bathe the cat for a week after vaccination to avoid a decrease in the cat's immunity.
