After being encouraged by the support of Principal Dai of the middle school and the president of the correctional hospital, he was encouraged to put on a prosthesis, and he was not afraid of breaking his hands and feet and learning to ride a bicycle to school. In order to complete his secondary school studies, Zheng Fengxi worked everywhere, he participated in the essay contest with an essay "A Boat in the Ocean", which caused great social repercussions, many people expressed their willingness to fund him to complete his studies, but he did not want to rely too much on others, and later successfully completed his secondary school studies and was admitted to the Law Department of Chung Hsing University in Taiwan with excellent results. In 1974, he was listed in the 12th "Top Ten Outstanding Youth" in Taiwan. Unfortunately, he suffered from liver cancer and died in 1975 at the age of 32. His deeds were made into the movie "A Boat in the Ocean" and won the Golden Horse Award for Taiwanese Film.
