Shuozi, who failed the college entrance examination, was in a depressed mood, and she received an invitation from her aunt Hai Xijiang, who lived by the sea. Through the introduction of Hai xijiang's aunt, Shuozi became acquainted with the local uncle Tuji and his daughter Tatsuko, as well as Tuji's nephew Xiaoshi. In the carefree conversation, their distance is also quietly narrowing. Shuozi plucked up the courage to invite Xiaoshi to lunch, but a message from Xiaoshi's classmate Zhijia made the boy suddenly helpless, and the keen Shuozi's heart also became wavering.

In the summer of 1983, the 17-year-old Elio returned to a country house in northern Italy. At first, Elio distanced himself from Oliver and treated him coldly, until after the two toured Italy together, a brief but sincere love affair occurred between them.

In Beijing in the early 1970s, Ma Xiaojun, a teenager in the military compound, often sneaked in to play with other people's homes. Through Liu Yikuan, the "head" of the courtyard, Ma Xiaojun saw Milan, who had been accidentally glimpsed in the artillery bureau before, and began to regard it as the lover of his dreams. However, in Milan's eyes, Ma Xiaojun is just a hairy child, and the person she likes is the mature, steady and handsome Liu Yiku. Since then, Ma Xiaojun has ushered in a mixed adolescent life.
The film won the Best Film Award at the 33rd Taiwan Film Golden Horse Awards.
