What is the truth of "2012" prophesied by the Maya?

author:Shen Shao

What first came to mind when you first heard the word doomsday? If you are not impressed, then in the science fiction blockbuster "2012", various disasters came in 2012, such as los Angeles, which was destroyed by the earthquake, fell into the sea; a crazy tsunami pushed an aircraft carrier directly to the top of the White House in the United States; the small country Vatican became a ruin; and the huge waves directly engulfed the Himalayas... Are you afraid to see this?

Of course, we all know that the film was inspired by a prophecy in the ancient Mayan calendar that human civilization would end on December 21, 2012. What the Mayan prophecy indicates is that the earth we live on at present belongs to the fifth solar age, and the earth has experienced 4 solar ages, and at the end of each era, a thrilling event of destruction has been staged each time:

The First Solar Age was Matlactieri, which was destroyed by a flood, and some theories suggest that it may have been Noah's flood;

The Second Solar Age is Iekotel, which is said to have been blown to pieces by wind snakes, and it is also said that it was caused by a large-scale hurricane or tornado and other weather reasons;

The Third Solar Age is Quiavillo, which was destroyed by a rain of fire from heaven, and other theories believe that it was caused by the impact of ancient meteorites;

The Fourth Solar Age is Zondririk, also destroyed by the Rain of Fire;

The Fifth Solar Age is Tornatius, when the sun will disappear and the earth will shake violently, eventually leading to the destruction of the earth.

In the last chapter of the Mayan prophecy there are many records of chronology, almost all of which ended in the Fifth Solar Age, and because of this effect, the Mayan prophecy assumed that once the Sun had experienced 5 deaths, it would be destroyed at the end of the Fifth Solar Age of the Earth.

When compared to the Mayan calendar, the Fifth Solar Age ended around December 21, 2012 AD. This leads to the idea that 2012 is the end of the world.

Of course, many people are vigorously refuting the claim that the end of the world in 2012 is not recorded, because there are no extant Mayan records that record the prophecy, and even if there are only sources, there are contradictions. Similarly, mainstream Mayan scholars have claimed that the "end" of the long chronology in 2012 is a distortion of Mayan history, meaning that the time did not exist. Back to the time you read the article now, did you believe it?
