In Buddhism, however, asuras are irritable and aggressive, courageous and good at war, "strong in their attachments, and although they are indoctrinated by all kinds, their hearts are not moved, and even if they hear the Dharma, they cannot attain enlightenment." This is highly consistent with the personality and experience of the green snake in "White Snake 2", and at the same time, the word "obsession" is also mentioned repeatedly in the story, and the obsession with fame and fortune, the obsession with love, and the obsession with revenge are all expressed.
It is worth affirming that "White Snake 2" does not like most domestic animations, like to give the definition of good and evil black and white, like to tell the audience the answer, but borrowed the mouth of the green snake to ask her to "let go of obsession" Fahai to show her resistance. What about not letting go of obsession? What about not becoming a Buddha? If the exhortation to "let go" becomes an absolute "right", it can easily become a compulsion and bullying of those who are already hurt. In the animation works that mostly fight monsters and revenge, the sad ending given by "Whitesnake 2" seems to imply that obsession can not be put down, but you must have the expectation and courage to bear the consequences it brings.
In the end, did the green snake who learned the truth have a trace of regret? If you listen to Fa Hai's words and let go of your obsessions, you may be perfect. But the beginning of countless stories is often from the moments of "can't ask" and "can't think", if it is hard and sad, after empty hands, what awaits is not the emptiness of enlightenment, but the person who has been missing, it is not a waste.
The end of the classic revisited, using the song "Flying in The Streamer", a sentence "Do happy things with lovers, don't ask whether it is robbery or fate", which has already given this faint sentimental regret and gentle overflowing story, a perfect ending.
