Israel's Air Force and U.S. Air Force will hold a large-scale joint military exercise over the Mediterranean Sea and Israel from November 29 to December 1 to simulate a strike on Iran's nuclear program.
The exercise included preparations for an attack by Israeli pilots on Iran, mutual assistance between U.S. and Israeli tankers and fighter jets, and joint defense of Israel itself. The United States has signed an agreement with Israel promising to assist Israel in missile defense after the outbreak of war. In recent years, the United States and Israel have held several joint air defense exercises.
IDF Chief of Staff Kohavi said Israel and the United States are working together on all fronts to gather intelligence, neutralize threats and prepare for a variety of situations in one or more areas. The two countries are "accelerating the development of joint military capabilities" to counter Iran and other threats in the Middle East.
