Yang Bing and his entourage visited and investigated the rose, grape industrial park and vannamei shrimp industrial base, learned about the industrial development, inspected the affordable rental housing construction project (phase I) and the Lion Rock Sports Park project site in Yantan District, and listened to the report of the relevant person in charge on the construction of the project.
At the subsequent symposium, Zhang Song, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yantan Town, made a comprehensive report on the work plan of Yantan Town in 2024 and the key planning of industry-city integration, and Wang Yong, Chairman of the Town People's Congress, reported on the work of the Presidium of the Town People's Congress in 2023 and the work plan for 2024. The leading group of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress respectively gave classified guidance on rural revitalization, quality town construction and the work of the town people's congress.
Yang Bing pointed out that Yantan Town, as the central town of Yantan District, is focusing on the goal of "two districts and one city", and has "ideas, goals, promotions and results" in solidly promoting the integration of industry and city. He demanded that in terms of ideological style, it is necessary to have the consciousness of the first place, pursue the first style, take the initiative to benchmark the high-tech zone along the beach, and deeply excavate and display the spirit of the beach; in the promotion of work, it is necessary to plan with a "big pattern", jump out of the town to see the beach, implement it with "big moves", and solve all kinds of difficulties and problems encountered in development with the spirit of "nailing nails"; in terms of goals and requirements, it is necessary to plan the work idea of "integration of industry and city" with high-level development as the goal, and fully understand the dialectical relationship between urban development and industrial development that complement and promote each other. From the perspective of high-level governance, we should learn from the advanced experience of the "Ten Million Project", create a better development environment with a better quality of life, and strive to build Yantan Town into a town with quality, taste and character. He stressed that under the leadership of the party committee, the work of the town people's congress should closely focus on the overall situation of the center service, give full play to the role of support and promotion in the economic development of the town, and take the opportunity of "joint construction of the garden town" to actively show the people's congress in how to serve the construction of the park and industrial development.
