Rare and beautiful rhododendron-leaf camellia

Deep in the jungle of the Chengdu Botanical Garden, in a secluded place, I found a few shades of red looming in the middle of the thick shade of the trees, which was very eye-catching and attracted attention.

I ran to it with joy. Here, my eyes were overwhelmed by the variety of unnamed flowers with beautiful flowers, and I was eager to know what kind of beautiful flowers they were.

Sure enough, it was a flower I didn't know, and the flowers like fire bloomed freely among the green leaves, and their beauty bloomed unreservedly on the ends of the branches of this plant.

It looks a bit like a camellia, but not entirely. Let's say it's azaleas, it's not like it. So I checked it, I really didn't know if I didn't check, and I was shocked when I checked. It turns out that this flower turned out to be a very rare flower, called "rhododendron-leaf camellia".

You see if it has the characteristics of two plants, and whether the flowers are also very special. Some of them bloom quietly alone, bright red like fire, like a beauty in red dressed in a dead life, which looks more charming and charming.

Others open on the branches, or hide among the turquoise leaves, like a beauty shy and refusing to show up.

Rhododendron camellia, also known as rhododendron-camellia sinensis, is an evergreen shrub or small tree in the camellia family. The tree has a short crown, red shoots, glabrous, and gray old branches. The leaves are leathery, oblong, oblong, dark green after drying above. The flowers are dark red and occur singularly in the axils of the apical leaves. The capsule is short spindle-shaped. The flowering period is year-round, and the peak bloom period is from July to September. Known as the "plant giant panda", it is listed in the "China National Protected Plants" - Level I., the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN 2015 ver 3.1) - Critically Endangered (CR), and the Red List of Chinese Species - Critically Endangered (CR).

I feel lucky to see it called the "plant giant panda", in such a vast botanical garden, I was lucky enough to see its real face, and I hope that my friends who see it will also like it.
