Rembrandt; July 15, 1606 – October 4, 1669, Cancer) was one of the greatest European painters of the 17th century and the greatest painter in Dutch history. Rembrandt's work adopts a strong chiaroscuro approach, using light to shape the body, and the picture is rich in layers and dramatic.
His greatness is a special technique that expresses his special soul: "light and darkness". Rembrandt's "light and dark" and the "light and dark" of Renaissance Italian writers have completely different roles. It is often said that he painted light out of darkness.
