The United States approved arms sales to Switzerland, Lithuania and Belgium.
Switzerland has now been granted permission to purchase up to 72 Raytheon Technologies-made Patriot Advanced 3 segmented enhanced missiles, and the agreement also includes related launch technology as well as logistical and technical support.
Lithuania received 8 U.S. Lockheed Martin-made launchers for highly mobile artillery rocket systems, 36 guided multiple launch rocket systems alternative warhead missile pods and other related logistical support. The amount is $495 million.
Belgium was approved to purchase 120 AIM-120C-8 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles, 10 AMRAAM C-8 guidance units and other logistical support. The country will use these missiles to maintain combat readiness of its F-16 and F-35 fleet. The amount is $380 million.
