What kind of sparks will collide between the beautiful and elegant Yue opera, which is very beautiful and has the spirit of Jiangnan, and the Wuhan Tiandi, which leads the trend of Wuhan?
Created by a team of young graduates of the Shanghai Theater Academy, this experimental Yue opera adaptation of Fei Mu's film of the same name in 1948 not only takes the audience out of the "small town" and "wall" of the theater, but also allows the opera performers from the Shanghai Yue Theater to get as close to the audience as possible and re-unlock the modern expression of Yue opera.
Lighting and multimedia together present a soft and delicate texture, more tunes and innovative singing voices, express the inner emotional changes of the characters, and explore the contemporary meaning of this story.
Screenwriter Xu Wenyi felt:
