384. Airport, Soyo, Angola

Let's start with why you fly in Angola.

Some roads in Angola are difficult to walk, and certainly not all roads are very difficult, but there are also quite a few that are difficult to walk. Some places are not roads in themselves, but cars come and go too much, and it looks like a road.

For a while, I always ran outside, first driving 4WD off-road, and then driving pickup trucks because I wanted to bring some supplies to the branch. However, driving a pickup truck also has advantages, that is, you can throw a few shovels, picks, boards or something, which can be taken down and used directly when trapped in the car.

Figure 1: The car was trapped on sandy land

I am not afraid of trapping the car in the sand on a sunny day, on a sunny day, there are many cars coming and going, and you can stop passing vehicles at any time, Figure 1 and Figure 2 is trapped in the sand, for this matter of getting stuck in the sand on a sunny day, I have always felt that it is the reason why the driver's skills are not good.

Figure 2: The car is trapped

On a sunny day, the line of sight is good, and when crossing the bunker, you can pick the route in advance and then pass, but we can't always use the tone of a lesson to say the driver, who let the steering wheel in the hands of others. No way, if you get trapped, just find a way to get it out.

Figure 3: The road after two days of rain

Every time is very difficult, whether it is blocking the passing vehicle to ask someone to help drag it or digging and then pushing, in short, no matter what way to get the car out. Many times it is not far from getting it out, and then it gets stuck again, and then it comes out and continues on the road.

Of course, in addition to getting stuck in the car and weather problems when going out, the weather in Angola is like a child's face, crying when you say, walking on the road and not knowing where to float a cloud and rain when it rains. The road that has rained is more muddy, driving the four-wheel drive are slippery, fearfully pinching the sweat to drive forward, the driver is also a high art person bold to really do the small pit refueling big pit closed eyes, I also asked the driver: This road is all water, see that it is all flat how to go? The driver told me the experience: hold the accelerator steadily, drive forward, and if you feel that the front of the car is suddenly low, quickly increase the throttle and rush forward. It's good to rush over, and if you can't rush over, call for help.

But rescue will not come for a while, usually it takes about a day, which means that we have to stay in place for more than 20 hours, if we really don't go to the village and don't go to the store, at least no blacks come to rob us. If you stop at the edge of the village, you're doomed

Every business trip is like a refugee, and there are many unexpected accidents to experience on the way. It's not fatal, but it's always exhausting from the dirt. But fortunately, there are always some scenery waiting for us on the road, such as the big tree in Figure 3 and Figure 4, and Figure 7 and Figure 8

Figure 7: The mud pit in front, yes, is a mud pit, not a puddle.

On the way, I saw many scenery that I could not see in the country, in Luanda, the capital of Angola, and in the Angolan camps, and many times I thought that it would be good to enjoy the scenery of Angola in Africa calmly without considering safety.

Picture 8: Sunset in Angola as seen on the road

If you do not consider that there are still more than 200 kilometers from the camp, if you do not consider the danger of getting stuck in a car or being robbed by blacks at any time, driving on this vast African land, from time to time there are monkeys, four or five meters long pythons, and the evening breeze blowing from the sea in the sunset, it is also quite pleasant. I think that if you remove the trivialities in life and look at the world calmly, there is poetry everywhere, so poetry is not necessarily far away.

Figure IX: Small airports in Angola

Small airport in the city of Soyo

There is a small airport in the Angolan border city of Soyo, which I think may be a little larger than the county-level bus station in China, but it is definitely not as large as the high-speed rail station in the third- and fourth-tier cities.

The airport is small, and its routes are only some supermarkets in the country, either from Soyo to Luanda or to cities such as Cabinda. Because Angolans have a weak sense of time, the domestic route of hundreds of kilometers is often delayed. In fact, the main cause of delays is often the tardiness of staff at Angolan airports.

Although I have also flown to other provinces many times, what I remember most is the first time I needed to report to the headquarters immediately due to work reasons, and I flew from Soyo to Luanda because of time.

Picture 10: I used QQ to reserve a seat at Soyo Airport

We went to the airport a day early to buy tickets, and the next morning we drove over, looking at the security check I felt like I was at the county bus stop, but it was different, more casual, with a box of lobsters, some with dogs, and a large bundle of Angora bark (this bark is Chinese), everyone stood in a small space waiting for the ticket check-in.

After checking in the tickets, I took a look at the environment and felt that except for the smell in the air that made me uncomfortable (fox smell mixed with perfume), everything else was fine. Just as I was sitting on a chair looking at the sheep running on the runway, sighing how cute it was and whether I could eat mutton when the plane landed, a Chinese fellow asked me: Are you also a Chinese?

I turned my head and saw a middle-aged man looking at me very kindly, looking a little like I wanted me to be Chinese, I said yes, he said great, he has never taken a plane in Angola, this time the contract expired, to Luanda to fly back to China, just don't know how to get out of the airport, I told him that I was also the first time in Angola small plane, but out of the airport you followed me, I followed the crowd and went out.

Figure 11: Exterior of the airport

While we were chatting, a small plane flew over leisurely, and I watched the small plane rush towards the sheep on the runway, and I thought: These sheep are afraid that they will not be saved. As a result, the plane landed in front of the sheep, and it was stunned that it did not press the sheep.

The small plane turned around the runway and came back, and a group of people came down happily from the plane, all looking very happy and satisfied with the flight.

After they got off the plane, the airport staff informed us to get on the plane, and after getting on the plane, we knew that the seat was casual, just like the bus at home. After everyone got together, the Portuguese captain turned his head and said a lot of words (it seems that the black man also knows that his people are unreliable, and he hired a Portuguese as a driver), and I heard that it probably meant: everyone is very welcome... After speaking, he took off without closing the door of the cockpit (in fact, there was no need to close it, this Xiaofei also sat about ten people) and took off.

The plane took off very violently, it seems that this foreigner has not drunk less, this plane is driving like playing, so frightened that I tightly grasped the arm of the chair, looked at the top of the tree outside the window and thought: This fall will not fall too broken, lo and behold, only one tree top high.

When the plane jumped and landed, there was thunderous applause in the cabin, and the Portuguese who flew the plane were also very happy, and even said a few words, and I knew why the people who got off the plane were happy, it turned out to be thanking the captain for not killing.

Later, after staying in Soyo, when the leaders came to check the work, I also went to pick up the plane many times, and after experiencing many delays in the plane, I slowly got used to the laziness and inaction of black people, and it was good to be leisurely and leisurely. I also asked some blacks, why are they not on time? Black people told me that there was too much work to be done, and well, that's how black people found out how good it was.

The old people say: keep three points of greed for money and lustful to prevent incompatibility with the world. There are seven points left in a serious book, and Tu'an divides this life. Lu Sanmin was at a loss, to see the faces of the others. Hide seven points of wisdom to prevent the villain from being injured by a dark arrow!!
