Zhengshan Gate is a building left over from the Pure Yang Temple built by Qing Daoguang in the fourth year, which is majestic and tall and built by the mountain.
Entering the mountain gate and climbing the stairs, the first palace is the Lingguan Hall, which is dedicated to the Taoist Protector King Lingguan; On the right is a giant calligraphy work, the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu's 2,000-year-old immortal work.
On the left side of the main hall square is the Cihang Hall, which is dedicated to Cihang Zhenren, Guan Sheng Emperor, and Zhao Gongming, the god of wealth, and on the right is Wenchang Hall, which is dedicated to Wenchang Emperor, Tianhou Mazu, and Medicine King.
I feel that the Taoist temple is quite grounded, and the gods and immortals worshipped by the people have gathered together, and each has shown their magical powers.
Therefore, there is Cihang who seeks a son, the God of Wealth who seeks wealth, the Guandi who seeks righteousness, Wenchang who seeks learning, Mazu who seeks peace, the medicine king who seeks health, and the Pure Yang ancestor who asks immortals...
Yangcheng folk widely recognized, responsive, all gods are spiritual. There was a popular saying in Guangzhou: there is a Sanyuan Palace in the north and a pure Yang Temple in the south.
The main hall of Pure Yang Treasure Hall is dedicated to Pure Yang Ancestor Lü Dongbin, Quanzhen Sect Ancestor Wang Chongyang, and Qiu Chuji. The main hall is a traditional Lingnan architectural form, with green brick walls and hemp stone feet.
The Pure Yang Treasure Hall was renovated in 2003 and presided over by the three founding sects of Taoist Quanzhen. Among them, everyone is more familiar with the ancestor of Lv Chunyang (Dongbin). The old saying "a dog bites Lu Dongbin" - that is, this Taoist ancestor.
Among them, Qiu Chuji's ancestor is involved in Jin Yong's novel. There are many Taoist sects, but unfortunately I know very little.
Pure Yang Temple has a statue of Li Mingche, the ancestor of the founding mountain.
Looking at its statue, looking up at the starry sky, a fairy wind Dao bone, although it is a Taoist, it is full of vitality. Let me think: Tianxingjian, a gentleman keeps improving himself.
Li Mingche, the ancestor of Pure Yangguan Mountain, has three hats:
Taoist master, proficient in Taoism. His ancestral home is Jiangsu and he was born in Panyu, Guangzhou. At the age of 12, he entered the Taoist temple and began to build the pure yang temple in 1824.
Second hat: astronomer, good at deducing astronomical horoscopes. There are astronomical works that survive, and have warned of the Guangzhou disaster, prompting the government to store grain and provide relief.
The third hat: a master artist who has absorbed Western painting methods. During the Qing Dynasty, he paid tribute for paintings, and he was elected by the audience to the magistrate - into Beijing to present his paintings.
On this trip he met astronomical astrological officials and visited the National Observatory.
After returning to Guangdong, with his cultivation and accumulation of astronomical astrology, he completed a book of "Huantian Map Theory" and published it in the world. This book is highly regarded in the Chinese astronomical community: it combines traditional Chinese astrology with Western astronomy and confirms each other.
The existing Chaodoutai in Chunyang Palace is Li's laboratory for observing celestial phenomena, built for observing the stars, which is the ancient observatory of Guangzhou.
The square watchtower-style building, eight meters high and seven meters deep, from the foundation to the wall to the arch beam, 100% bluestone blocks, without a little ash, stone blocks piled up.
The solid and calm "sense of material" shocked me.
Climb to the top balcony of the all-stone watchtower, look down on the surroundings, and think of the vast sandbar of the great water 200 years ago. Zhuzhugang is on the stone tower, and the balcony on the top of the stone building should be the highest place.
Li Zhenren was busy with the Taoist temple during the day, climbed the stone tower at night, looked up at the starry sky, carefully observed the celestial phenomena, and then recorded one stroke at a time.
It is really strong-hearted, and its ambition is commendable and impressive.
This can also be confirmed: Li Mingche is indeed an astronomer who has been observing astronomical stars for a long time. Therefore, this stone building has certain scientific significance and historical value.
The establishment of Chaodoutai reflects the unremitting pursuit and exploration of natural science by Taoists. It not only inherits the Taoist astrological theory, but also greatly promotes the establishment of climate observation and mapping and surveying in modern China.
Lee has set his sights on the West. His astronomy – a combination of modern Western astronomy and ancient Chinese astrology.
Li Mingche's astronomy made me think deeply: We know Western astronomy Galileo and Copernicus, but we don't know that Chinese astronomy has long been self-contained. It is said that Westerners started by looking at the star map of the Chinese and establishing astronomy.

Xian Yuqing wrote an examination article in which he traced and studied Pure Yangguan and Li Mingche: "Those who are fine and push the steps of the Cantonese people and are the foreign aspirants should push Panyu Li Mingche".
My friend Dr. Huanyu informed that Li continued the fashion of the times in the heyday of the "Thirteen Lines", which was very consistent with the general trend of Guangdong cultural people in the Qing Dynasty "opening their eyes to the world", and was an enlightened member of the Guangdong cultural people at that time.

It can be seen that the international trade of the "Thirteen Lines" has played a very good role in improving the status of the whole of Guangdong in the country and promoting a large number of cultural people to "open their eyes to the world".
Xian Yuqing's experience and knowledge remind me of Professor Cheng Meibao of Sun Yat-sen University.
I had a brief contact with Professor Cheng: I invited her to give a lecture at Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and had dinner. During this time, we talked about Lingnan, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Ocean, Cantonese opera... Impressed by her demeanor.
Dr. Huanyu said: Cheng Meibao and Xian Yuqing, the cultural temperament and research direction of the two have many similarities.
Pure Yangguan is still the land of Guangzhou - homeland when Xie Lingyun belittled Guangzhou more than a thousand years ago during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Xie is Kang Le Gong, and Kang Le Village should be named after this master of Chinese landscape poetry, unfortunately there is no historical confirmation.
Researcher Dr. Chen Qiaosheng believes that not only Kangyuan, but also the place name of the guest village is related to Xie Lingyun's nickname "Ke'er". Kang Le Gong wandered and chanted here, and his reputation was "precipitated here".
I read this and was quite convinced. The people of Lingnan have always respected the literati from the north, and besides, they are also famous families who have migrated here.
I believe that the South Campus of Sun Yat-sen University, which is now famous all over the world, is in Kangyuan, perhaps it is Master Xie's spiritual energy guidance, right?
Standing up to the pure Yang view, there are two prominent feelings: Taoism and the common people are naturally connected, respond to needs, and follow the trend; The cultural identity of the founding ancestor Li Mingche has escaped from the Taoist, and his astronomer's vision and bosom - but it has touched me and associated it more.
Where do we come from? Where are we going? Without yesterday, there is today, and there is no future. And in the long road, there have been sages who have trekked, overcome difficulties, and followed suit.
Paying tribute to the ancestors of Lingnan, the realm is lofty; Although it can't be reached, the heart yearns for it.
