The Lakers are "unlikely" to trade a $189 million superstar.
The current Los Angeles Lakers roster is clear that drastic changes will be needed if they want to return to the NBA championship fight.
Anthony Davis is a player likely to be considered untradeable, according to a Western Conference executive who spoke with NBA insider Sean Deveney of Blockbuster Sports, though he's struggled to stay fit since winning the championship in 2020.
They gave up a lot to bring AD to Los Angeles, and the Lakers won't turn around and dump him. Despite injuries, everyone wants to keep him and if healthy, he's still a good two-way player.
Davis has started the season reasonably, averaging 24 points, 9.5 rebounds and two assists while shooting 58.7 percent from two-point range and 18.2 percent from deep range. However, the Chicagoian's performance did not bring any wins to the team, and the Lakers are currently starting the season 0-4.
If the Lakers are to turn around a disappointing start to the new NBA season, they need Davis to play All-Star level games, otherwise, things could quickly get worse.
