On October 29, 1997, superstar Maradona stepped down from football.
Diego Maradona was born on 30 October 1960 to a poor family in the Vila Fiorito district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. At an early age, Maradona had already shown a love for football, and at the age of 3, Maradona received a football made of leather from his father, which began to become his favorite and gradually showed his talent in football.
On December 5, 1970, at the age of 10, Maradona came to the Argentine Youth Club and was successfully selected for the Little Onion, and on September 28, 1971, the 11-year-old Maradona appeared in the newspaper for the first time. Maradona later led the Little Onion to an unbeaten run of 136 consecutive matches in the same league. With his continued efforts, Maradona was promoted to the youth team of the Argentine Youth Club.

In June 1986, Maradona scored the Hand of God and the goal of the century in the World Cup, leading Argentina to the World Cup title. In July 1990, Maradona's Argentina team lost to Germany in the World Cup final and finished runner-up.
