#Baidu Hot Search #41 years later, a piece of fruit cake from the wedding of Charles III and Princess Diana will be auctioned for an estimated price of 300 pounds (about 2453 yuan). This is certainly an inedible piece of cake, after all, it has been stored for 41 years.

According to the New York Post on October 18, the cake came from Nigel Ricketts, the wedding guest that year.

On July 29, 1981, Ricketts kept the dessert after attending a royal wedding and reception. Ricketts, a former polisher at Windsor Castle, died earlier this year and was also invited to the wedding 41 years ago.

The cake will be auctioned by British auction house Dore and Rees Auctions. In 2014, a piece of cake, also from Diana's wedding, sold for 990 pounds (about 8,095 yuan). Currently, the cake is valued at £300, but the auction price will be higher.
