It is understood that TSMC's new plant in Kikuyo Town, Kumamoto County, began construction in April and will be completed in the second half of 2023. Yuichi Horida, president of TSMC's Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing (JASM), said that although the project has been shortened from two or three years to one and a half years, the progress is smooth.
