Son Dai Fudong

Ring the doorbell of Professor Dai Fudong's house, a picture of Dai Anlan suddenly appeared in front of my eyes: that heroic and healthy posture, Fang Zheng's resolute face, a pair of scorching and shining eyes... I was thinking that the eldest son of this famous anti-Japanese general did not look like his father.

Professor Dai Fudong came to open the door.

At first glance, he looked a lot like his father. Looking closely, he did not have his father's "long roar in the sky, magnificent and fierce" look, but the serenity of a pool of still water; In addition, the obvious difference is that Dai Fudong has a lot of wrinkles on his forehead and wisps of white hair on his sideburns. Dai Fudong was an elder, and his father was a handsome young man – no wonder Dai Anlan was 38 years old when he died in 1942, when Dai Fudong was only 14 years old.

Sitting down in the living room, Professor Dai asked amiably, "What do you want to know?" ”

"Talk about your father, the influence of Lingzun on you, and your experience." I say. "Okay." He said without thinking.

The father reached out and stroked his son's head

The past is like smoke and drifts away with the wind, but there are also some historical shots that still often flash in Dai Fudong's heart.

That year, Dai Anlan's Northern Expeditionary Army troops were stationed in Kaifeng, Henan. One day, Dai Fudong returned from kindergarten and unexpectedly did not see his mother, and the guard said: "Your mother has something to go out." In the next few days, he didn't see his mother when he came back, so he cried and shouted, "I want my mother!" I want my mother..." The guard was so entangled that he had no choice but to say, "Follow me." ”

Coming to a large temple, the guard pointed to the closed lattice door and said, "It's inside." Dai Fudong "slammed" open the door, only to see many people sitting inside, and an adult stood at the front explaining something. He searched around with his eyes and found his mother in the last row. Dai Fudong pounced on her desperately, shouting excitedly, "Mom! All the people looked back in surprise. Mom blushed, lowered her head, pulled Dai Fudong and went outside.

When he got home, his mother scolded him. In the evening, when my father returned from the station, my mother told him what had happened and said sadly, "I can't go to class anymore." "It turned out that my mother signed up to study to say that she was not yet married. Married people are not recruited. Dai Fudong was sad and scared in his heart, he was afraid that his father would lose his temper.

The father turned his face to look at him, and on his majestic face, there was a loving look, and he didn't say anything, reached out and stroked his head, gently stroking and stroking...

In 1931, the "9.18" incident broke out, the Japanese army invaded the northeast, and my father led the troops to the north. At that time, Dai Fudong had a younger sister, and the whole family lived in Nanjing. When his father returned home that day, his family and friends came to visit him. They asked how the situation in the northeast was and whether there would be a fight. My father said that the Japanese people will not die if they die, and they will be ready to fight a big battle. After his relatives and friends dispersed, his father sat down in front of Dai Fudong and told him a story.

Many years ago, a French teenager came to a wooded forest next to the border by chance and stumbled upon many cannons, all of which were pointed at France. He turned and was about to leave when a group of Prussian soldiers gathered around him and arrested him as a spy. Later, a Prussian officer came, and seeing that it was a child, he swore not to tell anyone, and then released him. The French boy returned to his home and wanted to tell his family, but he did not want to break his oath. He finally figured out a way, looked in the mirror, and said to himself loudly, "I just saw a lot of cannons..."

When the family heard this, they were very shocked and immediately ran to tell the French army. The French took the initiative and destroyed the Prussian artillery positions at once.

After telling the story, his father said to Dai Fudong, "You must also love your motherland like this French teenager." ”

The days when father and son get along day and night

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Dai Anlan rushed to the front, and Dai Fudong fled with his mother and younger siblings. In 1939, his father led his troops to be stationed in Guangxi. Dai Anlan let his 11-year-old son live in the army, so Dai Fudong personally experienced his father's military career.

He lives with his father in the headquarters. It is said to be the headquarters, but in fact, it is a broken temple that does not even have a shrine, which is quite simple.

During the day, his father asked someone to tutor Dai Fudong; At night, Dai Fudong and his father face to face, sitting at a square table, studying with a dim vegetable oil lamp. He did his homework and his father tuitioned for college courses. His father attended private school at an early age and later graduated from Anhui Public School. In 1925, he entered the 3rd phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, and after graduating in 1926, he served as an adjutant commander in the Northern Expeditionary Army. In order to make up for the lack of systematic education, Dai Anlan studied with the needle in the seam. He humbly studied English from the college students in the army. Dai Anlan's English improved rapidly, two or three years later to fight in Burma, has been able to talk with the British military in English, around 9 o'clock in the evening, Dai Fudong up and down the eyelids fight, he had to go to bed. It was a bed, but it was just two benches and a door panel, then a gray rough military blanket and white sheets, and a thin quilt. When Dai Fudong woke up, he often saw that his father was still reading.

Every day, before dawn, my father woke up Dai Fudong and went down to the army together. He followed his father, and at the front and back was the guard. The footsteps of four people were clear and loud in the early morning fields. Once at the army station, my father stopped and waited. When the wake-up call sounded, Dai Anlan strode into the company commander's bedroom and saw that he was still in the bed. Diane lit up and ran up and picked up his ear and lifted it up. The company commander let out a "whoosh" and hurried up. His father asked Dai Fudong to play in the grass by the small river, and he led the troops to practice. When he was finished, he took him back to breakfast. The food is really simple, don't say meat, even minced meat is rarely seen, carrot is a top good dish. After spending a year with his father, Dai Fudong also developed the habit of getting up early. More than fifty years later, Dai Fudong, who became the dean of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University, also likes to stand at the entrance of the college early in the morning to see if any teacher is late, of course, he just looks.

My father was very strict with his subordinates. For the new officers, the father will have to conduct an interview. A cloth was spread out in the square, a gun was placed on it, and soldiers were called to surround the "proctor." The father ordered the "candidate" to be blindfolded, and then asked him to disassemble the gun and put it back on. Once, when an officer could not put it on anyway, his father said solemnly, "Go back, and come back to the 'make-up exam' after practicing well." ”

"I can't forget those days." Professor Dai Fudong said to me affectionately.

One day in the winter of 1939, Dai Fudong was attending a class at the Soldier's Elementary School (the principal of the school was Mrs. Du Yuming) when suddenly a man ran into the classroom and said, "There is an emergency, come with me!" Walking outside, the man said, "Your father is injured, take me to see your mother." ”

Dai Fudong took the man to see his mother, and together they rushed to a certain unit with wireless phones. The phone rang, and my father's voice came out, "It's okay if I get a little injured." "I'm coming to see you!" Mom said into the microphone. "Okay, then." Father said.

Originally, in order to retake Kunlun Pass in Guangxi, which was occupied by the Japanese, Dai Anlan commanded the 200th Division to launch a fierce attack. Dai Anlan originally commanded the battle at the command headquarters, and later ran out to command "open-air". An enemy shell landed nearby and exploded, and a piece of shrapnel flew into his back, blood pouring out. He remained in command until he was carried off the line of fire. The Battle of Kunlun Pass was one of the major battles in the history of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and the battle plan for attacking Kunlun Pass was formulated by Dai Anlan, and at the beginning, the Soviet military advisers thought it was a "dream". When Kunlun Pass was recaptured and Masao Nakamura, the commander of the Japanese brigade (equivalent to China's division commander), was killed, Soviet advisers pointed a finger at Diane.

Dai Anlan, a famous anti-Japanese general in his son's eyes

Dai Fudong and his mother spent more than a day from Quanquan County, Guangxi (present-day Jeonju), to the home of Xu Tingyao, known as the "father of armored soldiers" in Liuzhou's "ward". Xu Shi was the commander-in-chief of the Kunlun Pass Campaign, and he took Dai Anlan back to his home, because the hospital conditions were really poor at that time.

Entering the "ward", the father asked the man to pull the account open, tightly holding his mother's hand, and then holding Dai Fudong's hand. He saw a large piece of gauze wrapped around his father's back, and he could also see the blood seeping out, and Dai Fudong wanted to cry!

The next morning, Dai Fudong rushed to the "ward" again, and the military doctor was changing the medicine for his father. The doctor unwrapped the gauze layer by layer, cleaned the wound, sandwiched a piece of yellow gauze with tweezers and placed it on the wound, and then wrapped it layer by layer with gauze. Father grabbed the sides of the bed tightly with both hands and did not say a word.

The military doctor left, and Dai Fudong asked, "Daddy, do you hurt?" ”

"What's not to like?" The father smiled, "You know the story of the Three Kingdoms, Hua Tuo used a knife to cut the skin and bones of Yun Chang, scraped the poisonous arrows from the bones, and Guan Yunchang also played chess." I want to learn from him. ”

Fortunately, X-rays were taken, and shrapnel did not hurt the lungs and heart. After a while, the wound was much better, and Dai Anlan returned to the county to recuperate. The mother wanted to go back to take care of her younger siblings, so she left Dai Fudong to accompany her father.

Despite his injuries, my father wrote every morning, took a break at noon, and picked up a pen in the afternoon to keep writing. Dai Fudong looked over curiously and found that his father was writing military training materials and satirizing novels about those greedy people who were afraid of death and corrupt. He felt very proud, his father was able to write and fight, it was really amazing!

One day, someone came to report to his father and talked about the irresponsibility of a certain battalion commander, who often "disappeared" for several days in a row, and did not know where to go. The father lowered his face and asked several other people, and the answer was the same. Father ordered the battalion commander to come at once. After a while, the door was pushed open, and the battalion commander stood outside the door, afraid to come in. Father strode over and slapped him twice.

When Dai Fudong saw this, he thought that adults and children should not take care of it, so he ran away with a cigarette...

Soon, his father returned to the army, and Dai Fudong also went to Guizhou to attend middle school.

The people mourned Master Dai

Dai Anlan, a famous anti-Japanese general in his son's eyes

Expeditionary Force into Burma

Dai Anlan rushed to Yunnan and then to Baoshan. In the blink of an eye, the winter vacation has arrived, and Dai Anlan wants his family to gather in Baoshan. Dai Fudong came to Kunming and met his mother and younger siblings, who arrived earlier. They came to Baoshan for a few days, and the whole family came to Kunming to stay at the home of their father's friend. In those days, the whole family smiled.

Early that morning, Dai Anlan was going back to the troops. The whole family sent him to the door, and the father walked to the car with the steps of a soldier, opened the door, turned back, waved to his wife and children, and then got into the car. Everyone looked at the car until it disappeared into the distance.

Dai Fudong did not expect that this was actually a Yongjiao.

In the future, he often saw news of his father in the newspaper. Once, a newspaper headline carried the news that his father had led his troops to annihilate 5,000 Japanese troops. Dai Fudong was very proud, hey, Father has won the battle again!

Gradually, there was no news of my father. One day, a teacher asked Dai Fudong, "What is your father's name?" Dai Fudong answered. The teacher looked at him and did not make a sound. Dai Fudong was a little strange. A few days later, as he was flipping the parallel bars, a senior classmate came up to him and said, "Is your father's name Dai Anlan?" "Yes." "Your father is dead."

Dai Fudong heard that it was like lightning hitting the top, and he fell from the parallel bars. Unable to take care of the pain, he hurried to find the newspaper—and sure enough, his father was killed.

The story of my father's sacrifice is as follows: In March 1942, at the request of Britain and the United States, the Chinese Expeditionary Force went to Burma to fight. My father led the 200th Division of the Fifth Army as a pioneer and was the first to go to Burma. Father's troops advanced to the East Claw, and the 200th Division was "isolated" because the follow-up troops failed to keep up in time. The main force of the Japanese army invading Burma pounced on it and unleashed poison gas. The 200th Division inflicted heavy losses on the Japanese army and achieved great victories. When documenting the battle after the war, the Japanese Defense Agency wrote: "The frontal defender is the Chongqing 200th Division. Since the commander, Lieutenant General Iida and all the following generals have admired his courage. ”

Soon after, the 200th Division received an order to "return the camera." To return to China, the Japanese army blockade line must cross two rivers and three roads, and every time it passes through a blockade line, there will be a bloody battle. During a battle on May 18, Dai was shot in the chest and abdomen, but he still commanded his troops to break through. At 5:30 p.m. on May 26, his wounds deteriorated sharply, and the chief of staff and infantry commander urgently asked how to bring his troops back to China under the heavy siege of the Japanese army.

At this time, Dai Anlan could no longer speak. He pointed his finger at a route back to China on the map and asked someone to help him up. Dai Anlan looked affectionately at the motherland in the north before falling down and closing his eyes.

The day after hearing his father's bad news, Dai Fudong met his mother. Mother and son hugged and cried.

Dai Anlan, a famous anti-Japanese general in his son's eyes

On July 27, his father's coffin was transported to Guiyang, and Dai Fudong went to greet the spirit. His father's subordinates gave Dai Fudong his father's briefcase. He opened it and saw that inside was a will and diary written by his father. Dai Fudong was also told that his father was carried on a stretcher after his death, because the weather was too hot, the body was decomposed, and he had to be cremated on the spot. The sappers made a small coffin temporarily to hold the ashes. Entering the territory of Yunnan, an old man sacrificed his Nanmu coffin, which put the small coffin into the large coffin. Dai Fudong was afraid that his mother would be sad, and did not tell her that the coffin was not loaded with remains but ashes, until his mother died more than 30 years later, and Dai Fudong did not reveal this secret.

At that time, the front of the car loaded with coffins was hung with Dai Anlan's bloody clothes, and wreaths were piled on the car. Dai Fudong and his mother and brother got into another car. Dai Fudong looked outside the car, only to see that along both sides of the road, there were incense cases on them, on which incense candles and flowers and fruits were offered. Thousands of people, shedding tears, the slogan "To take revenge" sounded to stop the clouds...

The memorial meeting was held throughout Guangxi County, presided over by Li Jishen, a representative sent by Chiang Kai-shek, and the leaders of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China wrote a couplet for the national hero Dai Anlan.

Dai Anlan, a famous anti-Japanese general in his son's eyes

After Dai Anlan's sacrifice, Dai Fudong's family life was very difficult, and the dish under the meal was always a large bowl of yellow sprout soup...

In 1946, Chiang Kai-shek came to Huaxi, Guizhou, and met Dai Fudong's family in a club in a scenic area, accompanied by Chiang Ching-kuo and Yang Sen, chairman of Guizhou Province. In the evening, a car took Dai Fudong to Chiang Kai-shek's accommodation. Chiang Kai-shek did not come out, and his attendants handed Dai Fudong a sum of money...

Designed the East Lake Hotel for Mao Zedong

After Dai Fudong graduated from middle school, he was admitted to the Department of Architecture of Nanjing Central University, so the family moved to Nanjing.

In 1952, Dai Fudong was assigned to Tongji University as an assistant teacher with a salary of 60 yuan per month. He left 20 yuan for himself and sent 40 yuan to Nanjing every month. Half a year later, Dai Fudong had his own house in Shanghai and brought his whole family to Shanghai. Soon, Dai Fudong married in Shanghai. After more than 20 years of wandering, he finally has a home.

In July 1958, the Hubei Provincial Party Committee prepared to build the East Lake Hotel, and sent people to Shanghai with design drawings to solicit opinions. On this afternoon, the director of the Department of Architecture of Tongji University brought Dai Fudong to the Jin Jiang Hotel by invitation.

Dai Fudong carefully read the drawings and said: "The design is not done well, the building does not use and give play to the advantages of the terrain, and the two do not have a sense of integration." Look! He pointed to the drawings, "The guest room is next to the East Lake, but you can't see the beautiful East Lake in the room, which can't help but be said to be a big pity." ”

The people of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee frequently nodded, and the engineering designers who observed it also felt reasonable.

Later, the Hubei Provincial Party Committee rejected the original design plan and asked Dai Fudong to design it, but he politely declined. Finally, the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China sent someone to Tongji University and announced that it was decided that Dai Fudong would mainly complete this political task.

There is no way back. In October, Dai Fudong and his wife Hao Lusheng went to Wuhan, where she is also a master of architectural design. The design of the day and night began, during which Dai Fudong was difficult to understand some design requirements, such as a bedroom with 70 or 80 square meters. Too big, too wasteful, he thought. Chairman Mao taught us that we must be economical in making revolutions. He objected to the "supervisor" many times, argued with reason, and finally got a reply: "Don't say more, you just do as the design requires." ”

One Sunday night, Mr. and Mrs. Dai Fudong and a group of colleagues walked out of the guest house and came to a small restaurant. Just as they were tasting flavors such as "Three Immortals Bean Skin", they suddenly saw the "supervisor" running in with a gasp and saying loudly, "Ah, you are here, come with me!" Dai Fudong was very surprised and hurried out of the restaurant and boarded the car.

Back at the provincial party committee guest house, Dai Fudong and others were ushered into the small auditorium. There are performances here, and there are songs and dances on stage. They were taken to the seat on the middle side of the leash.

Dai Fudong was relieved that he had watched the performance. He had a hint of doubt in his mind: the first eight or nine rows were empty, and only a lonely person sat in the middle of the first row. And the middle and back are densely packed with people.

At the end of the show, the lights were bright, and the man sitting in the front row stood up and raised his hand to applaud; A moment later, the man turned back and waved his hand in greeting—Ah, Chairman Mao!

Dai Fudong was overjoyed and stared intently at Chairman Mao. In the warm applause, Chairman Mao withdrew. When he walked through the passage next to Dai Fudong, there was only a distance to reach, and Dai Fudong's eyes widened, and he really saw Chairman Mao. He was ecstatic: Ah, I am the happiest person in the world!

"The supervisor" walked over and asked with a smile, "for whom the house was designed, you should understand it now." ”

Dai Fudong could only smile happily. No wonder the bedroom is so big, I heard that Chairman Mao's bedroom is connected to the office and the reception room.

Mao Zedong at the East Lake Hotel

The first building of the East Lake Hotel was completed in 1959 and the second building was completed in 1960. It is said that Mao Zedong liked the design style of the East Lake Hotel, and during the "Cultural Revolution", his old man left Beijing to tour the south and regarded the East Lake Hotel as his home...

Donghu Hotel is Dai Fudong's masterpiece, and there are many works he has designed. Dai Fudong has many works, as early as the "Cultural Revolution", he secretly wrote a book of more than 400,000 words "Airport Aviation Building", introducing the world's most advanced architectural design art, the book became popular after publication, becoming an indispensable reference book for the architecture profession. After inspecting the stone buildings throughout Guizhou, Professor Dai wrote a book < <石头与人>>, which attracted the attention of many scholars around the world. His co-translation of the British scholar's book "Atrium Architecture" with his wife, Professor Wu Lusheng, was highly acclaimed. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Honorary Trophy from the American Biographical Center, he was also included in the International Who's Who, and the "20th Century Achievement Award" from the Cambridge International Center in the United Kingdom...

Strangers break in and raid the house

At the end of 1966, a certain ground floor of Tongji New Village.

At more than 7 o'clock in the evening that night, Dai Fudong had just put down his rice bowl and heard a loud noise outside the window. In a loud knock at the door, Dai Fudong stepped forward to open the door.

"Do you have a gun hidden in your house?" The head wearing the Red Guard armband asked.

"Nothing."

"You said there would be no more?" The head of the Red Guards sneered and waved his hand, and seven or eight male and female Red Guards rushed in. These Red Guards were all students enrolled in Tongji. They ordered Dai Fudong's mother, wife and son to "roll" into a small room of 9 square meters, ordered Dai Fudong to stay alone in the living room, and then dug three feet into the ground and copied it. The Red Guards saw the big and bulky boxes that had obviously been brought from out of town, and could not help but shout with delight. I opened it, stuck my head in my head, reached into my hand and touched it for half a day, and found nothing.

Dai Anlan, a famous anti-Japanese general in his son's eyes

In the living room, Dai Fudong sat in a chair and calmly tilted his face. The tall Red Guard who had been sitting next to him asked, "Why aren't you nervous at all?" ”

"I have nothing to worry about." Dai Fudong answered.

More than two hours passed, and the "battle" was over, but the Red Guards did not receive any "booty". They stepped aside and spoke in low voices. Dai Fudong heard a female Red Guard say, "This family is so poor, there is not even a single valuable thing." ”

Dai Fudong thought to himself, not only am I poor, but my parents were also poor when they were young. Dad came home from school at noon and often ran to the stove room to lift the lid, but it was empty. He turned around and scooped water from the tank to eat as "rice." The house where Mom used to live could see the sky. One winter morning, my mother woke up and found that the bedside was covered with snow...

"Think about it and be frank and lenient." The head said to Dai Fudong, "We will give you another chance." ”

They walked away in a huff. In a mess, the whole family looked dejected, and Dai Fudong saw his 11-year-old only son quietly weeping.

As soon as the Red Guards left, the rebels came again. They believe that Dai Fudong's "martyrdom certificate" was obtained through relationships, and they must check it!

This also began in 1955, when my sister Dai Fanfeng returned from the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. She told her brother that the Central Committee had a document stating that all those who died in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to resist the Japanese invaders, including those of the Kuomintang, should be regarded as martyrs. Dai Fanli wrote to Xie Jueya to apply for a "martyr's certificate" and wrote to Li Jishen. The letter reached Zhou Enlai, and Premier Zhou instructed that "the martyrs should be given a certificate." With Mao Zedong's signed "Family Certificate of Revolutionary Sacrifice Soldiers," many people no longer looked at Dai Fudong's family with hostility, but some still believed that Dai Fudong's father died for the Kuomintang.

After external investigation and internal investigation, the rebel team found that the "martyr's certificate" was issued by Premier Zhou, so they did not make a sound.

After that, Dai Fudong went to the school every day to participate in political studies and meetings, sometimes cleaning, engraving Chairman Mao's poems on wax paper, and sometimes being pulled to accompany the fight...

The United States reforged the medal for Dai Anlan

Dai Anlan, a famous anti-Japanese general in his son's eyes

On June 1, 1986, Dai Fudong went to Columbia University to give a lecture as a visiting scholar.

Dai Fudong sat on the plane, thinking about his father. Five months after his father's death, the U.S. government awarded him a medal of merit on October 29, 1942, and his father became the first Chinese soldier to receive the American medal in the anti-fascist World War II; The medal was approved by the U.S. Congress and personally issued by President Roosevelt. Dai Fudong had seen it in middle school, and it was all written in English. After liberation, during a political campaign, Dai Fudong personally destroyed it. After that, his food was not fragrant, and he was in a trance, as if he had a serious illness. This time, at the request of his younger sister, of course, it was also his wish, and after arriving in the United States, he asked the US government to reissue a copy of the medal and the certificate of honor.

He felt other guilt about his father; In the early days of liberation, his college classmates said that his father was a counter-revolutionary, and he followed against his will; After joining the Communist Youth League, in the winter of 1951, he said that "the Kuomintang is not all bad people", which caused the collective anger of his classmates to attack him en masse, and he was forced to criticize his father at the meeting. Before the sister joined the army, she gave her father's will to the organization for preservation, but then she never came back and lost it; The bloody clothes worn by my father when he died were preserved for many years and finally disappeared. Now, I hope that the medal can be returned in the United States to make up for it. But he also knew that it was hard.

When he arrived in the United States, Dai Fudong was very busy and always moved. In September, he wrote to President Reagan, hoping to have a copy of the medal and the stub of the certificate of honor reissued. He threw the letter into the blue mailing note on campus and thought, Can the president of the United States receive it?

Looked forward to it for a few days, no news. He was busy lecturing and gradually "forgotten" about it.

One day, Dai Fudong came to the school, and the lady in the department office said, "Professor Dai, your registered letter." ”

He felt strange, in the United States without relatives, where did the registered letter come from?

"Where did it come from?"

"U.S. War Department."

His heart "thumped" and he made contact with the U.S. military, didn't he become a spy? I can't tell you clearly when I go back to China.

"Professor Dai, to you, letter!" Miss America handed over the letter. Dai Fudong hesitated for a moment and "went out" to receive the letter, which was the deputy chief of staff of the US Department of War, Patrick M. Mr. J. Ho Lan wrote the letter on November 3.

Dear Professor Dai,

Thank you for the Sept. 20 letter to President Reagan about your father's posthumous receipt of the American Medal. You will understand that the President himself, as the principal executive of our Government, cannot personally reply to every letter sent to him. The President therefore ordered each executive branch to appoint a federal official with specialized knowledge to deal with those matters in his capacity.

Your father was awarded a Legionnaire of Honor (military attaché)......... I have asked the Commander of the U.S. Army Support Operations Organization to recast a medal and send it directly to you, presumably you will receive it within thirty days.

Finally, the Deputy Chief of Staff signed autographs.

Dai Fudong burst into tears of excitement. He excitedly passed the letter to American teachers and students, who were all happy for Dai Fudong while laughing kindly and sarcastically. Dai Fudong was embarrassed and asked why he was laughing, but it turned out that they were laughing at the deputy chief of staff who had mistaken President Reagan's name.

That night, Dai Fudong wrote a letter to his younger siblings in China and filled in another poem to express his chest.

A week later, another registered letter arrived, a box containing medals.

The medal that Dai Fudong wants to return

The past is long, because of the father, he has had glory; Also because of his father, he has experienced hardships.

"Do you feel lucky to have such a father?" I asked.

"Of course lucky!" He smiled, and smiled brightly.
