It has been 10 days since I received the book "Mengman Women's Poetry Lessons", and I have finally finished reading it. Near the end of the year, to be honest, it has been very busy to work during the day, and when I come home at night to eat and accompany my children to write homework, then I have time to open this exquisite book to appreciate the dazzling female style in the long river of history.
The Book of Poetry says, "Philosophers become cities, philosophers fall into cities", men with ability make a country, and women with ability destroy a country. Through the examination and research of women's history, Professor Mengman pointed out that this is a historical bias. In order to give a biography of the female tree monument in ancient China, she wrote the book "Mengman Women's Poetry Class", which brings us a super cool "her story"!
"Mengman Women's Poetry Lessons" is divided into two volumes, and the book in my hand is the first volume, called "Philosopher's Woman", which tells the twenty-eight women throughout Chinese history; The next volume, "Bang Yuan", tells the story of twenty-five cultural women in Chinese history. To be honest, after reading the first book, I am already looking forward to the next book!
The author, Meng Man, is a professor at the School of History and Culture of Minzu University of China, a doctoral supervisor, and a deputy director of the All-China Women's Federation. His main research areas are the history of the Sui and Tang dynasties and the history of women in ancient China. In 2007, she appeared on the forum of hundreds of schools and told series such as "Wu Zetian" and "Princess Taiping and Her Time", which had a huge impact. And it was at that time that I was also a fan of Mr. Mengman's profound cultural accumulation!
In the "Preface" of this book, Ms. Mengman first explained her original intention of writing this book, using poetry as a guide and following the order of historical dynastic succession, telling the wonderful lives of the 28 women behind the poems and the Chinese history behind them. These women, some gentle, stunned the time; Some are wise, stirring up history.
Their thoughts and life stories can be found in poetry. And Ms. Mengman, who is the leader of wisdom, let us follow her footsteps, in the interpretation of poetry, find those women who are "beautiful or sleek", from another angle, glimpse the other half of 2700 years of poetry and 5000 years of history, but we have never seen.
In this book, I have heard many names, but I never knew that there is such a wonderful story behind it. After reading the whole book, I knew who Emperor E and Lady Ying were, and I knew the origin of the poem "A thousand drops of tears in a branch of bamboo and a hundred heavy clothes in red xia"; Knowing that "the story of King Zhou Youwang laughing for Bo Meiren and the princes of Beacon Opera" is actually false, and the reason why Qiu Ji refuses to laugh is because she is a gift from her mother country to King Zhou You for peace, as a girl brought back as a trophy, is it really the girl's fault that she does not laugh? ......
From childhood to adulthood, we have watched a number of film and television dramas about Wu Zetian, as a big heroine with a profound influence on Chinese history, Ms. Mengman let us appreciate her unique charm and style from another aspect by interpreting verses! Why did Wu Zetian become the only female emperor in history? Perhaps in the story of poetry, we can get a glimpse of it.
About Wu Zetian, the teacher shared three stories that are closely related to her life. Here I would like to share two.
First, Wu Meiniang's poem picked Tang Gaozong. She wrote: "Seeing Zhu Chengbi Si is one after another, haggard and fragmented as a reminiscence." Unbelieving Bi Lai shed tears and opened the box to examine the pomegranate skirt. A poem will smoothly "take down" Tang Gaozong, who has been a well-behaved child for half a lifetime, no matter how much others oppose it, Tang Gaozong will also take Wu Meiniang back from the nunnery and make her his own empress. And Wu Meiniang has also started her own life all the way.
Second, Emperor Wu wrote poems to catalyze Kai. She wrote that "the Ming Dynasty traveled to Shangyuan, and the fire was anxious to report the spring." The flowers will be sent out overnight, and the wind will not wait for the wind to blow. The "spring" here refers to the god of flowers. Even the affairs of the gods and immortals have to be managed, and they really have her might. Originally, the chaotic people wanted to set up an ambush to harm Wu Zetian, but the next day the cold winter was cold, but the Shanglin Yuan was full of flowers, and she used practical actions to teach those ministers who were not firm in their position a vivid lesson in zhengzhi, and the imperial power began to be consolidated.
Through the above two stories, we can feel that Wu Zetian is not a vase, but a strong woman who "combines beauty and wisdom". Everything she experienced wrote a legend about her life. In the process of fighting monsters and upgrading along the way, she has both clear strategic goals and extraordinary courage and talent, and it is this strong comprehensive quality that has helped her to ascend step by step in her life.
In addition to the story of Wu Zetian, the stories of the other 27 women are also very exciting. Through the poetry index, Mr. Mengman takes us to appreciate the beauty of poetry at the same time, and tells the story behind the poem, so that we have a deeper and more three-dimensional perception of the origin of poetry and historical development.
