Speaking of dinosaurs
China is a veritable dinosaur power
Number of dinosaur fossil bones
And the number of dinosaur egg fossils is the highest in the world
At the end of last year, more than 240 pieces were found in Longyan, Fujian
Fossils of dinosaur footprints from the late Cretaceous period
The discovery ended Fujian's history of "no dinosaurs."
Recently, I listened to Xiamen Xiaobian learned from relevant departments
In Longxiang Village, Shanghang County, where dinosaur footprints were last found
Another 364 fossil dinosaur footprints were found
One of the clean-up sites is less than 100 square meters
There are about 200 dinosaur footprints concentrated
The industry calls so many dinosaur footprint areas "dinosaur dance floors"
It shows that the dinosaurs walked back and forth in this area for a short time
Here it may have been 65 million years ago
A passageway for the daily activities of dinosaurs
Experts do this by comparing footprint fossils
New dinosaur species were discovered
So here's the problem
What dinosaurs are there in Fujian?
What do they look like? Is the personality good or not?
Xiaobian has sorted it out, let's take a look
Please note that dinosaurs are infested!
Let's walk into Fujian together

01 Sauropod dinosaurs
Sauropods were the largest dinosaurs and the largest terrestrial animals ever found on Earth. It evolved in the Late Triassic or Early Jurassic, most flourishing during the Late Jurassic period and surviving into the Cretaceous.
Sauropods soaked in shallow water all day long, using the buoyancy of the water to support their bulky bodies, but some species seemed more adaptable to living on hard ground. Sauropods had long necks and fed a bit like modern giraffes.
Smaller sauropods were up to 15 meters (50 feet) long, while larger sauropods, such as those of Theosans, were often up to 21 meters long. Brachiosaurus was one of the largest and stout dinosaurs known, reaching up to 30 meters long and weighing 80 metric tons.
02 Large, medium, and small ornithopod dinosaurs
Ornithopod dinosaurs appeared in the early Jurassic period and continued until the late Cretaceous period, where they lived on Earth for more than 100 million years. Because they run with strong hind limbs, they resemble birds in some places, so they are called birdfoots.
Ornithopod dinosaurs consist of a number of vegetarian dinosaurs with diverse morphologies. They run with their strong hind limbs. Ornithopod dinosaurs vary in size. Early small bird feet were smaller than dogs today, but they later spawned large dinosaurs such as Iguanodon and Platylos. Iguanodons can rival elephants in weight, or even heavier than elephants.
03 Small theropod dinosaur - Chilong
Chiron was a medium-sized predatory dinosaur with a presumed body length of 2 meters and a weight of 15 to 30 kg, similar in size to today's medium-sized canines. They had many sharp teeth in their mouths and, like other relatives of the family Chironidae, such as leptosaurs and dinosaurs, had puffed sickle claws on the second toe of their hind feet.
Chilonga existed in the late Cretaceous Campa order, dating from about 76 million to 74 million years ago. According to evidence of feathers from its close relatives such as The Little Thief and velociraptor , it is suggested that chiltyns may have had their bodies covered with feathers.
04 Dinosaur
Dinosaurs were a genus of dinosaurs in the family Chironidae , about 3.4 meters long , a group of carnivorous or omnivorous dinosaurs , famous for their second toe resembling a spring knife , surviving from the Late Jurassic to the Cretaceous.
When preying, dinosaurs are extremely agile, often jumping on prey, cutting through the neck of the opponent with lightning speed, and digging out the internal organs of the prey with a single sickle-shaped claw. It completes these movements so quickly and powerfully that the other party has not yet understood what is going on, and it has become its meal.
Dinosaurs had three long claws on their forelimbs and were more agile in their wrists than those of other carnivorous dragons. It holds the other with its forelimbs, while its claws dig out the internal organs and tear the flesh. Judging by its flexibility and speed and strange lethality, scientists believe that it was the most dangerous and vicious enemy of the plant-eating dinosaurs in the Cretaceous Period.
05 Carnivorous large three-toed theropod dinosaurs
Theropod suborder ( belonging to the order Sauropoda ) appeared in the middle Triassic. Most of them were carnivorous dinosaurs, bipedal, with sharp claws at the ends of their toes, sharp teeth like daggers or knives in their mouths, and often serrated teeth on the front and back edges of their teeth. Tyrannosaurus rex is its famous representative.
Theropod dinosaurs had little range of motion on their forelimbs , and their palms could only be faced downwards or backwards. Theropod dinosaurs have long been thought to be all carnivorous dinosaurs; in fact, the food sources of theropod dinosaurs are quite diverse.
Among the fossil dinosaur footprints found this time
Larger bodies were found than the previous batch
Sauropod dinosaur footprint fossils
Extrapolate based on footprints
The size of sauropods can reach more than 20 meters
In addition to this, there are some less than 10 centimeters
Fossil footprints of small ornithopod dinosaurs
After this type of dinosaur was restored, its body length was about one meter
It can be said that it is very mini~
Recently, scientific expeditions have been in and around the fossil footprint group
Discover the structure of wave trace deposition
And contemporaneous with the Late Cretaceous dinosaurs
Benthic submerged burrows
This provides a reference for the study of the living environment of dinosaurs
With these references
Expeditions were able to live on dinosaurs at that time
Vegetation and environment are further studied
Xiaobian is also looking forward to the Fujian version of "Late Cretaceous Park"
