Early life
Jennifer Connery was born in 1970 in Catskill, New York. His mother was an antique dealer and his father was a clothing manufacturer. Connery's maternal grandparents were Jews who immigrated from Poland and Russia.
Connery grew up in Brooklyn Heights, where she attended St. Ann's Private School of the Arts. Her father suffered from asthma, so the family moved to Woodstock, New York, in 1976 to escape the city's smog. Four years later, the family returned to Brooklyn Heights and Connery returned to St. Ann's School.

After graduating from high school, Connery studied English literature at Yale University. She describes herself as a serious student who doesn't really care about social life, sleeping, or eating. "I'm really nerdy, almost always in the law school library, it's open 24 hours a day, and most of the time I don't have classes."
After studying at Yale University for two years, Connery transferred to Stanford To study theater. There, she trained with Roy London, Howard Vann, and Harold Guskin. Encouraged by his parents, Connery left college and returned to film that same year.
Acting career
Connery began his career as a model as a child. Before starring in the crime film Once Upon a Time in America (1984), she appeared in magazines, newspapers and television commercials.
She has starred in numerous films, including the horror film Myth (1985), the musical fantasy film Labyrinth (1986), the romantic comedy Radiant (1991) and the superhero film Rocket Expert (1991). Her work in the science fiction film City of Souls (1998) and her role as an addict in Darren Aronofsky's 2000 film Requiem for Dreams have received critical acclaim.
Hulk Hulk, A Beautiful Mind, Alita: Battle Angel
At the 74th Academy Awards, Connery won Best Supporting Actress for her role as Alicia Nash in Ron Howard's biopic A Beautiful Mind (2001).
Her subsequent credits include the Marvel superhero film Hulk (2003), in which she played Bruce Banner's lover Betty Rose. The horror film Ghost Talk (2005), the feature film Blood Diamond (2006), the sci-fi film The Day the Earth Stopped (2008), the romantic comedy He Didn't Really Like You That Much, and The Creation (all 2009).
In the 2010s, she played supporting roles in Aronofsky's epic films Noah's Ark: Journey to Genesis (2014) and the action film Alita: Battle Angel (2019). Later, she starred in Snow Train (2020) and Top Gun 2: The Lone Ranger (2022).
Personal life
Connery was appointed Ambassador for International Human Rights Education in 2005. She is the face of Balenciaga and Revlon Cosmetics. In 2012, she was named the global spokesperson for Shiseido Corporation.
In January 2003, Connery married actor Paul Bettany, whom they met while filming A Beautiful Mind. The couple had two children, a son and a daughter. The family then moved to Brooklyn Heights.
