The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a landlocked country with an area of 2,586 square kilometers and a population of 602,000 (as of January 2018), the capital city of Luxembourg, is 97% Catholic, and the official languages are Luxembourgish, German and French. The steel industry is world-famous, and in 2001, the Lu steel giant Albert Steel Company (founded in 1882) merged with northern France and Aserraria, Spain, to form the steel giant Assellor Group. It is the largest enterprise in The Country and the largest steel group in the world, headquartered in Luxembourg City.
