According to Police of new South Wales, Australia, the 1960 luxury Bentley S2 was placed in a container and transported by sea from Canada to Port Port of Port d'Port in Sydney, Australia.

Australian Border Force agents performed X-rays of the containers and found suspicious anomalies. Authorities said further inspection revealed that the bentley's headlights were stuffed with crystal methamphetamine wrapped in plastic bags.

Police arrived at the scene after receiving a call from border agents, removed part of the headlights of the car, and found 161 kilograms of methamphetamine and 30 kilograms of cocaine in bags, which were pressed into tight bricks and packaged in plastic bags.

Australian authorities, assisted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), set up a working group to investigate the import of the shipment, code-named Strike Force Chime.

Late last month, agents fished for law enforcement and, supported by heavily armed riot squad members, raided a home in the suburbs of Sydney called Rooty Hill. Two men were arrested there, aged 22 and 23.

Photos of the raid taken by police showed a metal silver Bentley parked in the driveway of a family. The car's left headlights were partially removed, the left front tires fell off and tools were scattered on the ground — as if someone had just disassembled it in an attempt to get the drug.

Two men, handcuffed, sat on the ground next to the car, guarded by police. Police confiscated the Bentley and a Ford Focus, as well as several cell phones and a computer.

Subsequently, on a highway about 740 kilometres north of Sydney near Brisbane, two other suspects were arrested — a 25-year-old man driving a vehicle and a 25-year-old female passenger. Police said that through a search of the Toyota SUV, another 2.2 kilograms of methamphetamine and about 1 million yuan in cash were found hidden in the cargo area.

Police estimate the total value of the drugs at $155 million, or about $140 million. It's unclear from which part of Canada the car was shipped. All four suspects are currently denied bail.

Before that, Australian authorities had just announced the country's largest ever fentanyl seizure, also transported from Canada and hidden on industrial lathes.

It is reported that the shipment was sent from Vancouver and arrived in Melbourne by sea. More than one illicit drug was also identified in the shipment: 11 kilograms of high-purity fentanyl and 30 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Late last month, Camille Boily-Lavoie, a spokeswoman for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, told the media that collaboration among international partners is crucial to fighting transnational organized crime groups involved in large-scale drug trafficking.

Camille Boily-Lavoie said: "As the world becomes more connected, organized crime groups continue to expand internationally, seeking more direct access to lucrative overseas crime markets. ”

A large number of Canadian criminal gangs are trying to profit from the Australian market, where the demand for drugs is higher and the price of street drugs is often much higher than in Canada.

Earlier this year, two gang members from Vancouver were convicted of running a multimillion-dollar drug smuggling network in Australia. In 2018, two Canadian women were found carrying suitcases filled with cocaine on a cruise ship in Australia.

Canada has long been known for exporting cars, spacecraft, agricultural products, natural resources, and hopes that drugs will not become the next new label for "Canadian exports"...
