Recently, YouTube channel Funkyzeit Games shared a video showing what a modern 3D version of Super Mario Bros. made with Unreal Engine 5 looks like.

Funkyzeit Games used Unreal Engine 5 to remake super Mario Bros. first level map. The overall tone of the game is somewhat dark, and Mario can explore his surroundings, top the grid, pick up coins, and destroy monsters. The remake of Mario is very different from the original cartoon screen, and looks more like a 3D Mario game for the NGC platform.
