author:The Voice of Hubei

Editor's note: Her first impression is that she is calm and confident. Day after day of long-distance, high-intensity running, sharpened her will to surpass herself and challenge the limit; She also constantly draws strength from her runners to improve herself and move forward towards the sun. She is a beam of light, attracting more light to come together, condensing into a warm flame, making us firmly believe that no matter whether we have a life or brilliant or ordinary, we can pursue the love in our hearts and achieve a beautiful.

She is Liang Tao; They are the Luojiale Running Group of Wuhan University.

Half a horse? Dare to challenge!

Liang Tao is a teacher at Wuhan University and the leader of the Wuhan University Luojiale Running Group. Founded on May 28, 2017, the Luojiale Running Group is composed of Wuhan University faculty and alumni who love long-distance running. Liang Tao runs 10 kilometers a day, 40 to 60 kilometers per week is the most basic amount of exercise, and their goal is to run a marathon.

In fact, Liang Tao's association with the marathon is very accidental. Six years ago, Liang Tao was just a fitness enthusiast, used to jump in the gym and practice yoga. In April 2016, wuhan held the first marathon (Hanma), and a colleague of Liang Tao ran the whole course, which made everyone admire. Not long after, Wuhan University held the first "Wei Ai Luojia" campus ring run, liang Tao herself did not expect that she not only easily won the 5 kilometers, but also had a feeling of incompleteness after running.

In May 2016, Liang Tao (the runner in the middle of the picture) participated in the "Wei Ai Luojia" campus tour of Wuhan University

So in September of that year, two colleagues pulled Liang Tao together to register for the half-distance project of the Nanchang International Marathon, and only Liang Tao won the lottery! The two colleagues smiled and said to her, "You signed on behalf of our team!" Liang Tao was dumbfounded at that time, running 5 kilometers is no problem, half a horse 21.0975 kilometers, did not think about it! But the arrow is on the string, and the hard scalp must also be tried. So Liang Tao found her disciple Liu Yi and talked about her ideas. This disciple with rich experience in marathon competitions became Liang Tao's professional coach.

The master and disciple coach conducted two months of rigorous training for Liang Tao. The news that Liang Tao is preparing for the half marathon has also caused quite a stir in her classmate group. On the day of the competition, five students from Wuhan, Changsha and Nanchang formed a group of relatives and friends to wait at the finish line to meet Liang Tao, who successfully completed the race. After finishing the competition, Liang Tao couldn't hide his excitement, hugged the five classmates one by one, and risked a silly speech: "It seems that I haven't run, and I want to continue running!" ”

In November 2016, at the Nanchang Marathon, Liang Tao (a gray tracksuit runner in the middle of the picture) crossed the half-horse finish line

Since it was the first time to participate, Liang Tao also made a lot of jokes. For example, she felt that the number plate on her chest was in the way, so she pinned it to the back, so that the photographer could not identify her information, and there was not a single official photo of her. After the game, she saw some players taking pictures with medals, very envious, thinking that only the first few were issued, and actually went to find someone to borrow. In fact, each runner had a medal in the finish bag at the finish line, but she was too excited at the time to find out.

What the? Half a horse is not a "horse"?!

Immersed in the joy of running half a horse, Liang Tao reported to the master and disciple coaches with great feelings, but he did not expect him to pour a scoop of cold water: "Half a horse is not a 'horse', if you want to run, you have to challenge the whole horse!" The coach wants to "provoke" Liang Tao with such a sentence and let her challenge Hanma in the coming year. It was already the end of November, and it was April of the following year, such a short time, was it possible? Liang Tao felt a little frightened in his heart. But the coach encouraged Liang Tao: "You are no problem! He understands Liang Tao's personality, that is, he is tough, as long as he has determined the goal, no matter what difficulties he encounters, Liang Tao will definitely stick to the end.

The word "persistence" is easier said than done. From 21.0975 km to 42.195 km, it is not only a matter of doubling the distance, but also a great test of physical strength, endurance and psychological adaptability! Maybe the foundation is thin, maybe the heart is too anxious, in January 2017, Liang Tao's knee was injured, let alone running, walking is tearing up the heart and lungs.

Liang Tao quickly called the coach to report the situation, and the coach asked her: "Do you still want to compete?" Liang Tao said without hesitation: "I want to compete!" "Then you do what I say, and it's no problem to go to rehabilitation." Therefore, Liang Tao followed the guidance of the coach and completely rested for two weeks without training, and then slowly resumed training. March 5, 2017 - Liang Tao still clearly remembers this day, that morning, after recovering, the ghost made a person to go to the East Lake Greenway to brush a 30-kilometer, after running without any adverse reactions, this time, let her confidence greatly increased.

Running is an "honest" sport, and you will get as much as you pay. Solid training allowed Liang Tao to see his own progress, and the pain and exhaustion became not worth mentioning.

Choose to go, "All Horses, here I come!" ”

On April 9, 2017, the second "Hanma" was held as scheduled. This was Liang Tao's first time in the whole horse, and before the race, Liang Tao began to get nervous again, afraid that she would not be able to insist on running the whole distance. The coach told Liang Tao: "Just remember a sentence, no matter how much rain it rains, don't care how tired you are, run slowly and don't stop walking." The result was really said by the coach, the whole game of the day was almost the whole time of the rain, at first Liang Tao was still wearing a raincoat to run, but because of the rain and wind, the raincoat became a burden, she simply threw off the raincoat and ran.

On April 9, 2017, Liang Tao (the yellow-clad person in the picture) participated in the Wuhan Marathon

There is a term for running a full horse, called "wall hitting period", in short, it is a long run after a certain distance, usually 30-35 kilometers, the physical fitness can not keep up, the body will think that it has reached the limit, will send out a variety of signals to make you stop, such as stomach pain, breathing difficulties, muscle stiffness, breathlessness and so on. After running 30 kilometers, Liang Tao felt that any part and organ of the body was not his own, as if he had no consciousness, only the brain was awake.

"If it doesn't work, it's not a shame to stick to it." This thought flashed in Liang Tao's mind, and she remembered the coach's words "don't stop walking no matter how slow you are", so she firmed up her original idea: Since you chose to start, you must insist on running to the end!

Counting down 5 kilometers, Liang Tao saw runners cheering for themselves on both sides of the road; Counting down 3 kilometers, Liang Tao saw his colleagues at Wuhan University shouting for themselves; Counting down 100 meters, Liang Tao saw his lover waving at himself at the end! 3、2、1...... The moment Liang Tao crossed the finish line, her vision blurred, "I couldn't tell if it was rain, sweat or tears on my face." Liang Tao said. Her lover put his arm around her shoulder excitedly and said, "I didn't expect you to do it!" ”

On April 9, 2017, at the Wuhan Marathon, Liang Tao (the yellow-clad man in the middle of the picture) ran the full distance to the finish line

We flew in the wind and chased the light

The first time she ran the whole horse, she experienced heavy winds and rains, which gave Liang Tao a good exercise, let her know that the marathon sport has gone through the wind and rain, is persistence, but also encouragement. In the past six years, Liang Tao has run 14 marathons in succession, and her new life experience has helped her overcome the problems in her work and become more and more powerful.

Liang Tao's persistence inspired the people around her, and she also had the idea of setting up a running group. On May 28, 2017, under the initiative of Liang Tao and 6 other runners and colleagues, the Luojiale Running Group of Wuhan University was officially established. From the initial 7 people to the current 227 faculty members and 169 alumni, the size of the running group has continued to grow. The running group continuously improves everyone's ability level through weekly group training and professional training, creates a good atmosphere of advocating sports and pursuing health, and the running group has also become a link and bridge connecting alumni runners and connecting all parties.

On May 28, 2017, wuhan university luojiale running group was officially established

The running group activities were carried out with great sound and color, and everyone was also in the same boat, and experienced many twists and turns and challenges together. One of the runners in the running group found out that he had a serious illness and underwent surgery, and he wavered in the concept of "life lies in movement" and felt that "life should be at rest". Also, the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic on the running group is very large, in early 2020, the members of the running group are self-isolating at home, there is no way to go out to run, at that time, Liang Tao and his lover were traveling in Yunnan, and they were also trapped in the isolation hotel, so Liang Tao encouraged everyone to run indoors in the WeChat group and run back and forth. Driven by Liang Tao, the members of the running group clocked in every day, and even some people ran half a horse at home. Over the years, no matter what difficulties have been encountered, everyone has insisted and insisted on it with an optimistic and sunny attitude.

Ren Chao, the fastest marathon runner in the running group, known as the "Wind God", did a big thing that made the runners feel "earth-shattering". In March 2020, at the beginning of the development of the new crown pneumonia vaccine, volunteers needed to be recruited to verify the effectiveness and adverse reactions of the vaccination. After learning this news, Ren Chao resolutely signed up, he said: "I have been running for many years, my health is good, I should go." In this way, he became a volunteer for the first dose of vaccine and the first batch of volunteers in the country. Inspired by him, in September 2020, Liang Tao also volunteered for the second phase of the vaccination trial.

This is Liang Tao and her happy running group, everyone influences each other, encourages each other, and makes progress together. Liang Tao's lover, under the influence of her and her runners, has now joined the ranks of long-distance running, and his current results are even better than Liang Tao's; And the colleague who once had the idea that "life should lie still" also came out of the trough after recovery and returned to the team!

Editor's Note: In the 1950s, Tsinghua University alumni shouted the slogan "Strive to work for the health of the motherland for at least fifty years." Today, more and more "Liang Tao" running in the new era, cultivating a healthy physique, condensing every step of persistence and tempering, condensing into the light of ideals, the light of faith to dedicate their posts and return to society, this beam of light is the positive energy of fire, leading the running group to stride forward, all the way to the sun.
