The unveiling ceremony of the "China Corner" of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the "Silk Road University") was recently held in the library of the university. Jiang Yan, Chinese ambassador to Ukraine, Abdulhakimov, vice premier and minister of tourism and cultural heritage of Ukraine and president of Silk Road University, and Chi Runlin, cultural counselor of the Embassy, attended the event.

Ambassador Jiang Yan said in his speech that China attaches great importance to President Mirziyoyev's initiative to establish the Silk Road University at the 2018 SCO Qingdao Summit. In order to support the establishment of the "China Corner" by silk road university, the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine donated more than 550 books and audio-visual materials in Chinese, English and Russian involving Chinese culture, art, literature, history, tourism, Chinese learning, etc., and provided 2 sets of exquisite traditional Chinese costumes for the school's SCO National National Costume Gallery. It is believed that with the joint efforts of the two sides, the "China Corner" will play a positive role in enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the chinese and Ukrainian peoples, especially the youth. The Embassy is willing to continue to promote cooperation in the fields of education, culture and tourism between the two countries, promote the exchange and cultivation of talents, and inject inexhaustible impetus into the China-Ukraine comprehensive strategic partnership.
Abdulhakimov thanked Ambassador Jiang and the Embassy for their strong support for the development of the Silk Road University and said that the unveiling of the "China Corner" on the eve of the SCO Samarkand Summit is of great symbolic significance. Silk Road University will soon welcome the first Chinese vice president, and will also invite two Chinese professors to come to Ukraine for exchanges and share China's valuable experience in developing the tourism industry. The Ukrainian side is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in tourism research, artificial intelligence and green tourism, so as to promote the faster and better development of Ukrainian tourism.
At the opening ceremony, Professor Dodoboev of the Fergana Innovation and Consulting Center donated Ubun books such as "Sino-Ukrainian Investment and Economic Cooperation" and "Ancient and Modern Overview of the Great Silk Road" funded by the Embassy to the "China Corner".
In order to use the international platform to promote Chinese culture and fully display the image of a confident and open China, the Embassy carefully arranged the "China Corner" and invited the special team of Beijing Institute of Fashion to design and produce traditional Chinese costumes and donated them to silk road university for display during and after the summit.
