The Danish painter Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg is considered to be the founder of danish painting, his career is based on the artistic development of his ancestors, and his creation was quite successful during his lifetime, which was known as the golden age of Danish painting, and later generations called Eikosberg the father of Danish painting.

In 1786, Eikosberg and his family lived near the picturesque Alsson, a village with beautiful scenery and legends, and natural painters liked to paint the surrounding countryside. Eikosberg showed artistic talent at a young age and had already won the admiration of the locals during his apprenticeship.

In 1803, Eikosberg came to the big city of Copenhagen and at the same time was admitted to the Academy of Arts with honors. During his studies at the Academy, he eagerly studied and actively created, involving history, portraiture and landscape painting, and he showed great interest in almost all subjects and showed extraordinary talent.
