Black Pig

However, due to the slow growth period and low weight, only 150 kilograms of black pigs are born a year, so after the Western white pigs entered China in a large way at the end of the last century, they were almost extinct. The Tuhe Black Pig is a rare conservation population in contemporary times.
White Pig
In the 18th century AD, in order to increase meat production and littering rate, the large white pig successfully bred in Yorkshire, England, is a typical "cured meat type" pig breed, although the meat is thick and fishy, only suitable for making cured meat, but the size is huge, three or four months can grow to three or four hundred pounds, a litter of more than ten litters, high survival rate, so the popularity is rapid.
In the 1990s, the double-muscled hip white pig bred in Canada entered China, and the adult boar could grow up to 1,000 kilograms, and the sow could grow 700 kilograms, which could be released in three months, and the price was extremely low, so it was rapidly popularized without terroir domestication, and almost dominated the world.
However, these pig breeds are produced nearly 200 years after the "Compendium of Materia Medica" was written, and the pig type and nutritional value are completely different from purebred black pigs, so when using ancient folk remedies, if white pigs are used as supplementary ingredients, the effect gap is not a medical prescription.
Hybrid pigs
In the 1950s and 1960s, in order to improve the meat production rate and the number of pigs, China began to introduce the former Soviet Union's great white pig, that is, the British Yorkshire pig in the former Soviet Union through the domestication of the pig breed, mainly used in the Chinese traditional black pig hybrid, the overall number is relatively small, which is also the originator of today's many hybrid black pigs, flower pigs.
