Droughts in Europe dried up rivers, killed fish, and withered crops. Europe's drought is expected to continue, which experts say could be the worst drought in 500 years. An unprecedented drought is afflicting nearly half of the continent, wreaking havoc on agricultural economies, forcing water resources to limit and threatening aquatic species. Water levels in major rivers such as the Danube, Rhine and Po rivers are falling.
