"There are 311 families, 1144 genera and 4441 species of plant species in the park, and there are also 32 species of national and provincial protected animals such as antelope, golden snub-nosed monkey and crested ibis." Zhu Lin introduced that qinling national botanical garden empowers biodiversity conservation with scientific research, and continuously strengthens the research on the conservation breeding of critically endangered species. Today, the forest coverage rate in the park has reached 95%, and the number of rare and endangered plants has increased year by year. The park conserves nearly half of the species in the Qinling area, while salvage breeding of endangered species and some regression studies of wild populations have been carried out.

"Popular science education is also one of our important tasks." Zhu Lin introduced that the park has specially cultivated a professional science popularization team, which will enter the campus in a fixed month of each year to carry out science education on biodiversity conservation. The park will also invite students to enter the park and conduct more intuitive science education through hands-on, question-and-answer, nature classrooms and other forms, so that students can observe nature at close range.

"Only by allowing children to go into nature more, understand nature, and get close to nature can they truly establish a sense of ecological protection and take the initiative to participate in the work of protecting the natural environment." Zhu Lin said.
