The Four Great Divine Beasts. This name is the modern name for qinglong, white tiger, suzaku, and Xuanwu. In fact, it is not a divine beast, but a god, also known as the four elephants and the four spirits of the heavens in ancient times, which belong to the product of the worship of the ancient stars.
In ancient China, the stars in the sky were divided into seven major star areas, "Three Walls" and "Four Elephants", of which the four elephants were: The Eastern Canglong, the Western White Tiger, the Southern Suzaku, and the Northern Xuanwu. That is to say, the stars of the East are like a dragon, the stars of the West are like a tiger, the stars of the South are like a big bird, and the stars of the North are like turtles and snakes. As the Earth revolves around the Sun, the astrological phases of the sky also change with the seasons. Every evening at the turn of winter and spring, the dragon appears; At the turn of spring and summer, the Suzaku rises; At the turn of summer and autumn, the white tiger appeared; At the turn of autumn and winter, Xuanwu rose and was collectively known as the "Four Divine Beasts".

The color contrast of this pen is so great when the crown is turned, according to NAMIKI's skills and the pursuit of perfection in the picture, it is impossible to add a new basic material and such a picture display. It wasn't until I found the source of ancient Chinese mythology and found the Book of Hetuluo that I found that it all pointed in one direction, our great Han culture.
I remember that when the light of the national comic "Nezha's Devil Boy Descending" swept the country that year, the B station film and television gangster came out with an episode of Chinese mythological context combing, from the perspective of the screenwriter, sorting out a huge balanced universe, watching my blood veins, ready to come out. Suddenly, I felt that the so-called Marvel Universe, hehe, is nothing.

Many pen friends ask why there are snakes, turtles and snakes in ancient China believed to be spirit beasts, symbolizing longevity, before the Han Dynasty nobles have long been equipped with jade turtle pendants. Nowadays in Japan, under the influence of ancient China, turtle motifs are commonly used in name taking and emblems. Moreover, snakes in Japan are all auspicious omens, and the themes of various daily necessities snakes are many, many, which is the opposite of China.

The point is that one of the most ingenious places for this four gods to show the craftsmanship is the scales of the whole dragon, each piece is layered, one piece is pressed, close your eyes and touch it with your hand, you know that it is the touch of the scales. The thick armor at the abdomen and the base of the claws is also arranged according to the plane of the dragon's body, and none of them are the same.

Every two directions are a color, the beginning of this article has an explanation for this, the overall orientation and color of the four god beast diagrams all echo this map, saying that it is the strongest cultural core of rigor, which is not exaggerated at all.

The White Tiger generally appears as a sign of evil in the Hour System. Through the drawing of the false vision at the angle of the limbs, the area occupied by the four divine beasts is the smallest, and the upper and lower positions are aligned with the tails of Xuanwu and Suzaku. Intentionally. But because of the small pattern, the spirit of the King of the Hundred Beasts was ignored. The stripe on the white tiger's body, which was gradually blackened, was really a stroke of God.
I don't know if the pen pals have found that in the formal patterns with the phoenix as the theme in Chinese culture, such as the Classic of Mountains and Seas, ancient wedding dresses, royal documents, etc., the overall posture of the phoenix is as metaphysical as above, and the rebirth of nirvana is like the above picture. Simply put, it's a fixed pattern. It can be said that if it is not the above picture, it is all sensationalism.
The point is that this four gods have the second place to show the craftsmanship of the most, and there is also a place to put the scales of the green dragon.
