The "scientist" who practiced it
In August 1940, Wang Keqin was born in Xicun Village to an ordinary peasant family. Due to his family's poverty, he had no choice but to give up his studies after graduating from high school. But he did not stop learning, starting from joining the village agricultural research team, through hard work, and finally became a senior agronomist at the Xicun Township Agricultural Science Station.
"Nishimura Chaihu is an ancestral heritage, drought-resistant, drought-resistant, hardcore crops. I love to study the management techniques of chai hu cultivation and would rather teach more people. Wang Keqin said. The leader of the masses to get rich
Industry leaders are the backbone of rural revitalization. Over the years, Wang Keqin has combined theory and practice, compiled the knowledge of Chinese herbal medicines into a book, and at the invitation of the township party committee and government, he has given more than 50 lectures in various villages, and more than 2,300 medicinal farmers have participated in the lectures. He also went into the field to guide and volunteer to promote the management technology of medicinal plantation production. In view of the problems of dead seedlings, low yield, and insect pests, he established an "agricultural service test field" in his own land, developed a planting base for Chinese medicinal materials, and led the whole township medicine farmers to embark on the road of increasing income and getting rich, making outstanding contributions to the development of the chaihu industry in Xicun Township, and was affectionately called "farmer scientist" by the villagers.

A forerunner who does not forget his original intention
On July 1, 1965, Wang Keqin joined the Communist Party of China. As a member of the Communist Party of China, he always kept in mind his original mission, played a pioneering and exemplary role, actively served the masses, provided market information to medicine farmers free of charge, and helped solve problems such as planting and sales.
Wei Yongxin, a medicine farmer in Xicun Village, said: "My family planted 4 acres of chai hu, and the yield was not very high before. Since the management according to Wang Keqin's method, the number of dead seedlings has been significantly less, the survival rate has been high, and the income per mu increased by 1200 yuan last year. Wang Keqin is an old party member in our village, we all believe in him, it is right to follow him to plant medicinal materials, he is the intimate person of our medicine farmers. ”
