There are many legends about Jiuding Wanhua Mountain in the depths of the QinLing Mountains, and it is also the place where the story of Qin Cavity's "Erjin Palace" takes place. Legend has it that during the Longqing period of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Mingmuzong died suddenly, and the empress dowager Li Yanfei temporarily handed over the imperial power to her father because of the young and ignorant crown prince. However, his father beat Li Yanfei and the crown prince into the forbidden palace. With the help of Xu Yanzhao, Yang Bo and other loyal ministers, Li Yanfei escaped from the Forbidden Palace, took the crown prince and his entourage to Chang'an, entered the meridian, came to Wanhua Mountain, and later regained the imperial power with the help of several ministers and handed it over to the crown prince. Later, Li Yanfei stayed on Mount Wanhua to practice, and eventually became an immortal.
In order to commemorate his mother, the Wanli Emperor built the Palace of the Queen Mother and the Hall of Our Lady on the mountain as a memorial, and gave the mountain the name "Wanhua Mountain". Therefore, along the way from Meridian Yu to Wanhua Mountain, there are related place names such as The Zihe River, Ziping, Feeding Ziping, and Liniangping (Li Yuanping) Heigou along the way. The opera "Erjin Palace" depicts the history of Li Niangniang being beaten into the Forbidden Palace. There is indeed a reason for consulting the legend of the Ming Dynasty Concubine. And because Li Yanfei is the flower of a country, the temple was built during the Wanli period, so the mountain was named Wanhua Mountain, and later generations said that Niangniang's cultivation into an immortal was the rebirth of the Nine Lotus Bodhisattva, and at the same time, she hoped that the incense on the mountain was exuberant, so it was also named Jiuding Wanhua Mountain. Therefore, the mountain has nine dangerous peaks with different shapes and beautiful beauty, so it is also known as Jiuding Wanhua Mountain.
