He Youshun grew up in Baiyangdian since childhood. In his spare time, going to Baiyangdian to photograph birds is He Youshun's biggest hobby. In his opinion, birds cannot pose, and every moment can be encountered and unattainable.

It is understood that the blue-headed diving duck is a national key protected wild animal, listed as a "critically endangered (CR)" species by the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species, with a global population of less than 1,000.

Although the blue-headed diving duck is precious, this is not the first time it has visited Baiyangdian. "The first time I photographed the blue-headed diving duck was on May 5, 2018, and I really didn't expect that there were blue-headed diving ducks in Baiyangdian, and I was very impressed." He Youshun recalled.

From 2013, from a photography enthusiast to an eco-photographer. In the past 10 years, He Youshun has been with the birds all the way and enjoyed it.

The environment has become better, and there are more and more blue-headed diving ducks in Baiyangdian. This year, He Youshun and many experts and scholars of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Hebei Province found more than 40 blue-headed diving ducks in the four 4 waters of Baiyangdian, of which two found the breeding of blue-headed diving ducks, and after a number of experts identified them through videos and pictures, it was determined that Baiyangdian found the breeding phenomenon of blue-headed diving ducks, which is also the first time such a phenomenon has been found in the region.

The blue-headed diving duck has 'settled down' in Baiyangdian! This news has attracted a lot of attention. The blue-headed diving duck has extremely high requirements for the ecological environment of the habitat, and their arrival is also a strong evidence of the improvement of the ecological environment of Baiyangdian.

"Birds are the indicator species of biodiversity monitoring, and now Baiyangdian water is beautiful and fat, attracting more birds to baiyangdian to breed and live, such as blue-headed diving ducks, pheasants, Aurora crows, gray cranes, great bustards, etc., which have become my regular customers in the lens." He Youshun excitedly recounted the changes in Baiyangdian over the years.

Known as the "kidney of North China", Baiyangdian is an important habitat for wild birds in central China. With the establishment of Xiong'an New Area, Baiyangdian, which was once heavily polluted, ushered in the largest systematic ecological governance in history, and various ecological indicators are getting better and better. In the past 10 years, He Youshun has witnessed the continuous improvement of the ecological environment of Baiyangdian, and the harmonious coexistence between man and nature is becoming a reality.

According to Liu Xun, director of the Wildlife Conservation and Wetland Management Division of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Hebei Province, with the in-depth promotion of the ecological environment management of Baiyangdian, the number and population of wild birds have increased significantly in recent years. Observational data show that the number of wild birds in Baiyangdian has increased to 237, an increase of 31 species compared with before the establishment of the new district. Baiyangdian's unique "lotus pond reed sea, bird paradise" style has been reproduced.

After 10 years of bird shooting, He Youshun became a regular visitor to Yodo, accustomed to listening to chirping birds and watching flocks of birds. After 10 years of photographing birds, He Youshun also inadvertently saved us a vivid ecological archive.
