The main concentration of Vietnamese durian is the central plateau, and the area of durian cultivation exceeds 36,000 hectares, accounting for 32% of Vietnam's total exports. Under the planting site serial number plan, local residents and enterprises need to cooperate to ensure that the durian cultivation land covers an area of at least 10 hectares, as well as compliance with pesticide use specifications or organic agricultural product cultivation, etc., in order to comply with the requirements of no pesticide residue exceeding the standard, packaging and packaging information requirements, etc., in order to obtain the planting land serial number} certification and be allowed to export to China.
As of now, after dragon fruit, watermelon and lychee, durian is the 11th fruit to be allowed to enter China.

Malaysian durian was only officially introduced to China in June 2019, allowing the import of frozen durian from Malaysia that meets the relevant inspection and quarantine requirements.

Vietnamese durian is mainly harvested from April to the end of July, with October to March as a by-production period, and the most widely grown and popular durian varieties in Vietnam are Ri6 and Muangthong (Thai varieties). Around the end of April, durians in the Mekong Delta region begin to ripen.

Ri6 Dry Yao:
Ri6 belongs to the medium and large fruit type, the general weight is 2-4KG, and the larger fruit is also many in 4-5KG. Ri6 durian was bred by Mr. Sau Ri of Vinh Long Province, Vietnam, and has been cultivated since 1988, the most original Ri6 is called the Golden Rice Seed, but the public prefers to use his name Ri plus the sixth oldest in the family, for this variety name, Ri6 is so widely used. Ri6 will bear the name of Dry Yao, mainly rubbing the heat of Thai Long-stemmed Dry Yao, after all, Long-stemmed Dry Yao is the pride of Thailand. Ri6 in the Vietnamese fresh fruit durian belongs to the post-ripening time is very short (ripening very fast).
