Project overview
Canadian self-employed immigrants (Self-Employed) refers to those writers, painters, artists, actors, athletes, etc. who have made certain achievements in the fields of culture, art, sports, etc., immigrate to Canada in the form of self-employment, and make special contributions to Canadian society and culture.
Self-employed immigrants are designed to attract those who are talented in culture, arts, sports, willing and able to continue their original careers after coming to Canada, and who do not need to work for others and hire themselves. There are many industries that can be engaged in, such as independent training courses, or studios. Rely on their own talents to generate income for themselves and make certain contributions to Canadian culture, arts and sports.
Suitable for people
First, have at least two years of relevant experience in the past five years
- For those engaged in cultural and artistic work
- Have two years of self-employment experience in cultural activities, or
- Have two years of experience participating in world-class cultural events, or
- Have one year A experience + one year B experience.
- For athletes
- Two years of experience as a self-employed athlete, or
- Two years of experience involving in world-class events, or
- One year A experience + one year B experience
2. Intentional and capable of self-employment in Canada
3. Meet the scoring criteria for self-employed persons - 35 points or more
The selection criteria include the following aspects, from which the score will be given:
- experience

- age
- Language proficiency
- adaptability
4. Meet medical, safety and other conditions
- The applicant and his/her family members must have passed a medical examination and have a police-free certificate of no criminality.
- Applicants must demonstrate that they have sufficient money to support themselves and their family in Canada.
