This is a true experience of the natural scenery of the primeval jungle of Changnyeong Paradise Mountain, but after the summer rain is soaked, the "king of all fungi", matsutake mushrooms, drilled out from under the leaves of the primeval jungle, is rarely encountered.
Every year into July, accompanied by a light rain, the matsutake of Paradise Mountain began to jump in the pristine broad-leaved jungle, "squeaking" a sound, three or three two first protruded a head, "hey hey" was not found, so stretched out the lazy waist, trembling the fat waist, opened the white umbrella cover to block the drizzle, began to absorb the essence of nature, into the forest area of the fragrance wafting in the face, it is very covetous.
But very few people can really meet it, because not all primitive jungles have matsutake distribution, it only grows in specific areas, specific altitude zones, and is distributed in small groups, and the color of matsutake is very close to the color of the fallen leaves, if it does not drill out of the ground, even if you enter its "hut" and smell the fragrance, it is difficult for you to find it.
In order to be able to see its "beauty" and have a mysterious "date" with it, my friends and I braved the light rain and climbed the mountain road for more than an hour to run to the place where they lived. Entering the "treasure land" where they live, the fragrance of the fragrance comes to the nose, we cheer and rejoice, but it is not so easy to see them, according to the search method taught by the rangers, looking, exploring, pressing, pinching, looking for nearly half an hour along the rich fragrance, only to find a small figure of matsutake mushrooms, carefully looking, in the nearly 50 cm from it in the deciduous bushes, and found 2, and then along the aroma, three hours later, one, two, three... A total of 22 matsutake mushrooms were successfully "dated".
Picking matsutake mushrooms is both a physical and a ritualistic technical task. During the picking process, we gently peel off the moss, dead leaves and humus wrapped around the root of the matsutake mushroom with our hands, use a sharpened wooden stick to slowly insert it obliquely from the side towards the root of the matsutake mushroom, gently press down on the end of the wooden stick, the matsutake is pried up from the soil, and after collection, all the soil under the fungus is returned to the place where it was picked, and then gently backfill the humus and fallen leaves into the pit, and leave a better quality matsutake mushroom in each nest, so that it matures naturally, withers, and allows the spores to spread and retain seeds.
Matsutake mushroom scientific name Pine mushroom, alias pine mushroom, zygoste, Taiwan fungus, belongs to the basidiomycete subphylum, oral mushroom family, is pine oak and other trees exogenous mycorrhizal fungus, is the world's rare and valuable natural medicinal mushrooms, mainland secondary endangered protected species. It is very demanding on the growth environment, can only survive in the primary forest without any pollution, the spores must form a symbiotic relationship with the root system such as pine oak that is more than 50 years old to form hyphae and fungus ponds, and rely on cypress, oak and other broad-leaved forests to provide nutritional support to form healthy fruiting bodies.
Matsutake is not only delicate in appearance, but also very exquisite in eating, fresh matsutake that has just been picked, can not be soaked in water, but should be placed under the flow of water, rinsed while gently wiped with a sponge or cotton cloth, and can not be cut with a metal knife. It can be eaten raw, matsutake cordyceps chicken soup, stewed ribs, stewed eggs, matsutake fried rice, and grilled skewers. As the most precious ecological ingredient, it can be cooked into a delicacy in the simplest way! But no matter how to eat, the taste is a word, beautiful!
Matsutake as the "proud" "child of nature", only from nature gifts, artificial cultivation even if you care for it in all its ways, a thousand gentle, it does not give "face", so far there is no successful precedent, but also makes the high value of it is covered with a mysterious "veil", become a "treasure" in the fungus, it is difficult to not call "king".
The highest altitude of the paradise forest area of Changning County is 2875.9 meters, the total area of the forest area is 83,400 mu, the accumulation of living standing wood is 950,000 cubic meters, the forest coverage rate is 98.1%, and the good ecological environment makes the matsutake mushroom survive in the deep mountains, with an annual natural growth of about 600 kg and an annual collection of about 400 kg. According to the grade, it ranges from 500 yuan to 600 yuan per kilogram.
