On July 21, Drew Pavlou, an Australian anti-China activist, was arrested outside the Chinese Embassy in Britain.

According to the British "Guardian" reported on the 24th, the London Metropolitan Police said that Pavlu was suspected of threatening to attack the Chinese embassy with a bomb in an email, and when he was arrested, he was making "suspicious behavior" outside the embassy. The Guardian said a spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in London also confirmed that it had previously "reported to the British police the terrorist threat emails received".

A spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police said that while he would not confirm or comment on the identities of any arrestees who had not been charged with criminal offences, it confirmed that Chinese embassy personnel had reported to police on July 21 "terrorist threat emails received."

"At 4.30 p.m. on the same day, a man was arrested outside the Chinese embassy for suspicious behavior," the spokesman said, adding that at the time of his arrest, the man was "found holding a large amount of glue and trying to stick his hand outside the embassy building."

The spokesman confirmed the man was arrested on suspicion of "trespassing into diplomatic premises, spreading false information to create bomb scams and criminal damage." At present, the man has been released on bail on the afternoon of the 22nd, pending further investigation.

The Guardian and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) reported that the arrested man was None other than Pavlu. Before his arrest, Pavlu was holding a small protest outside the Chinese embassy and trying to glue multiple anti-China flags to the embassy's doors. But only about 20 minutes later, the London police arrived at the scene.

Despite being caught and "stolen and stolen", Pavlu is still a dead duck with a hard mouth and refuses to admit his mistake.

On July 23, Pavlu, who was released on bail, tweeted multiple tweets "shouting injustice," claiming that he had been "framed" and did not send terrorist threats to the Chinese embassy. He also accused the London police of "inhumane treatment" of him, including 23 hours of solitary confinement, threats that he faced 7 years in prison, and denied him access to a lawyer.

Australia's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the same day saying it would provide consular assistance to Pavlu.

Drew Pavlu, 23, a radical anti-China activist in Australia, has frequently appeared in various public occasions in recent years to support anti-China activities such as "Hong Kong independence" and "Xinjiang independence", and has long made anti-China and insulting remarks.

In 2020, Pavloo helped organize a pro-Independence protest and was embroiled in a scuffle: he clashed physically with others at a rally on Hong Kong at the University of Queensland's Brisbane campus. Last May, the University of Queensland in Australia announced the decision to suspend Pavlu – which will be suspended until 2022.

Since then, Pavlu has intended to "fall" on China.

In June last year, Pavlu "took a seat" and decided that Xu Jie, the Chinese consul general in Brisbane, referred to himself as a "separatist" in a statement, so he decided to complain to the local police, claiming that Xu Jie's words "put his safety at risk".

A year later, in June, Pavlu reappeared in the lecture hall of Xiao Qian, the Chinese ambassador to Australia. This time, he did everything in his power to disrupt the order of the venue, not only interrupting Ambassador Xiao Qian's speech on China-Australia relations, but also playing slogans that slandered China's Xinjiang policy.

Now, Pavlu, who was arrested after running to Britain to "make trouble", panicked. On the 23rd, he wrote in a tweet:

"British police arrested me and put me in so nobody knew where I was. I was inside for 23 hours and I wanted to go home, I missed my family, but they (the British police) threatened to arrest me at the border... I have written to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia requesting urgent consular assistance. I know I've been criticizing Foreign Minister Wong Young-hyun in the past, but I'm sorry, I desperately need her now. ”
