But on the first anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Beautiful China at the China Academy of Art, when I turned out the handwritten text from twenty years ago, I was still surprised to find that our object mountain had gradually lost the deep respect and cherishing that approached in the strange.

Telling the legend of beautiful China, let us relive the Elephant Mountain, relive the vision of the university, and relive the growth of a unique humanistic landscape.

Xiangshan Mountain, southwest of Hangzhou City, adjacent to the old town of Zhuantang. The ancient Qiantang River turns across the river, so it is called The Pond. Elephant Mountain is in the middle of the basin, with a small mountain, with many green mountains, leading the mountains to dive into the riverbank, including the weather of the meeting of mountains and rivers. Xiangshan Mountain, also known as Wangjia Mountain, ancient passenger ships stayed overnight on the shore, close to the mountains and waters, overlooking the Six and Ancient Pagodas, homesickness spontaneously emerged. The right side of Xiangshan Mountain is flat and thick, and the arrogance of the current Northern Mountains; The left side of the mountain is bent and flowing, the hills and ravines are turned around, and the lingering rhyme of the beautiful mountains in the south of the river is gathered. Those who come from the south to the north, in this place, or think about the scenery of their hometown, or face the mountains and mountains of the old garden. Around elephant mountain, surrounded by drainage canals, an old camphor tree in front of the mountain, six hugs of the body, pavilions like a cover. The slopes are lush with green trees, hundreds of bayberry trees on the ridge, and there are rocks exposed from the ridge.

In 2001, the China Academy of Art began to enter Xiangshan, renovating the buildings of the original Hangzhou Health School from the 1950s to the 1990s, and the first students entered the school in the autumn of the following year. At the same time, the state allocated 700 acres of land, the college initially decided the Xiangshan campus construction plan and Shanbei construction plan, Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu couple began almost free of charge pioneering architectural design work. In November 2003, the first pile of Xiangshan Shanbei Construction was laid, and the prelude to the first phase of the project was kicked off. In December 2004, the Shanbei Campus of Xiangshan Campus was completed, and the School of Visual Arts, the School of Media and Animation, and the Basic Teaching Center moved to the new campus for teaching. Teachers and students of the whole college gathered to hold the 21st all-school sports conference and open a new page in the history of Xiangshan. In March 2006, the construction of Shanbei has become a scene. The traditional construction languages such as eaves, high walls, promenades, courtyards, wooden windows, tile roofs, etc. used in the ten building monomers, as well as the way they are used in this group of buildings, have attracted wide attention from the academic community.

Entering from the east gate of the Xiangshan campus, I suddenly saw a green mountain standing, and the ancient wood intersected with each other, approaching the present. Turning over the mountain, whether it is a south or a north turn, it is a vast and open-minded view. Looking north of the mountain, it is spectacular, and the north building group of the mountain is based on the courtyard and builds a high platform; The south of the mountain overlooks, a beautiful loop, and the south of the mountain house turns and flips along the earthen dam, and the mountain house is close to the mountain. The vastness of the north of the mountain is as thick as the north river; The south of the mountain stretches like the south ridge.

The buildings in the north of Xiangshan Mountain have a terrace made of stacked stones, and the stone platforms in the north of the mountain are mostly "stones and high and flat", and they have a hidden relationship with the courtyard pavilions. Those terraces rise from the field, which not only feels the hidden weight of the foundation, but also allows students to look through the eyes and be happy. The platform of Building No. 8 in Shanbei is low, probing into the water, and has the effect of a water pavilion and a stone boat, and it is close to the water and shakes.

The south of Xiangshan is the green mountain green ridge, it is not suitable for building a platform, but in the lotus pond field strange to build the "eight" figure earth dam long causeway, all the buildings are hidden behind, close to the long causeway to move around, the building between the high walls is like a ghost alley, on the opening of the long causeway, pick up a pool of lotus pond, there are more green tile double floors gently diving into the lotus pond, such as wings.

The high-rise courtyard buildings in the north of the mountain are like Huma Linfeng, and the long causeway houses in the south of the mountain are like dragons drinking water. Mr. Tong Liao interpreted the traditional character for "garden", believing that there should be houses, water, and forests in the walls. When Xiangshan first started, he only felt that where the landscape and water were, there should be houses facing each other. Shanbei Shannan two phases of the project, the middle interval of two spring and autumn. At the beginning of the design of the second phase of Shannan, I invited Wang Shu and Xiao Lu to write poems to give to each other, and the poems look forward to the future campus with images such as fishing boats returning late, alleys that step on the green, precocious Fields, and rigid ink points.

Ming Chen Jiru's "Small Window Youji Jijing" has the saying "Reading Yi Lou, its speed has five". The buildings of Xiangshan Are All Good Places to Look At And High. The partition of the wall or the transformation of the continuous wall are the most active elements of the architectural space. The walls of Xiangshan Are either heavy eaves on the ground, or brick and tile walls, and the heavy eaves are taken from the eaves of the Oriental Tower, and the top is also a wall, connecting the sky and the earth. The flower wall is either in the shape of a Bogu shelf, or is made of old tiles in the broken cylinder and stacked by the method of paving the floor, forming a clear and connected meaning between the partitions and not the partitions. The gap between the solid walls behind the flower wall is half yin and half covered, which can best describe the self-condition of the inspection of the years. The doors and windows on the white wall of Elephant Mountain are also in the shape of dotting ink, and in and out, they give the image of the ink rhyme of the landscape.

In the front building of the Xiangshan Building, there are some terraces. The Tuye House says: "The Yun of the Interpretation of the Name: 'The Shepherd, by virtue of it.' Those who have become by scenery also. The terrace on the waterfront of Tanabe is a scene of its own, and some corner spaces in the building have the meaning of "xie". I have the feeling of reaching into the green mountains with one foot. There are also corridors where they meet, and several layers of green mountains seem to step on top of the green ridges.

Elephant mountain architecture, mountain north and south mountain, are connected together by long corridors, or roundabout, or straight, or implanted in the building, or extend to the mountain, such as the mountain road circling, and always far to the green mountain. Walking on such a long corridor, there is a feeling of "mountain vagina, overwhelmed". The steps of Building 11 and Building 18 in Shannan crawl on the wall of the building, such as the Lingyin Thousand Buddha Mountain, so it is also called "climbing house". The column is an important factor in the construction of the long corridor, the pillar of Elephant Mountain is like wild grass, inadvertently stretching out a stroke, so that admirers are amazed, there are two broken bridges and corridors in the north of the mountain, one hidden and one hidden, looking at each other, and laying the foreshadowing and expectation of history for the future construction of Elephant Mountain.

The most eloquent person to build Xiangshan is the roof. The top of the north of the mountain, a large piece of slight tilt, compounded to the old green tile; The heavy eaves on both sides are more and more like flying. As the "Book of Poetry And Xiao ya" said, "like a bird Si Ge, like a Flying Bird". The double building in the south of the mountain is the top of the slope with two misplaced "from" characters. The southernmost building, Building 19, is topped by a slope with the word "Cong". Stretching from east to west, stretching and stretching, it corresponds to the vigorous business mentioned in Zhu Xi's "Biography of poetry collection".

In the spirit of Chinese gardens, Xiangshan was built into a traditional college-style campus. The mountain gate is high, like a green ridge overlooking; Covered Bridge Stone Road, Ruoxi Mountain Tour. Here, with the mountains, with the four seasons, hugging and nurturing by natural changes, and in this kind of look at the opposite of the green mountains, in this invitation to the landscape, waiting for a distant self. Such a campus not only gives people a unique life memory, but also cultivates a special spirit and soul through the day-to-day photography of a kind of garden landscape.

In my graduation speech in 2009, I wrote again: During this period of time, I was painting on Xiangshan Mountain, and every day when I walked out of the gate of Building No. 3 at dusk, I saw the Elephant Mountain in the falling light, like a huge screen, towering majestically in front of me. The dark part of the mountain conceals a rose color, making the green of the mountain so mellow and thick; The wilderness was filled with a smell of grass and home that we had known since childhood, and I stepped out of the gate again and again, encountering this mellow and ethereal atmosphere. In the shade, the fields are intertwined, and the ponds and streams are reflected. Day, we are like a boat that is not tied; At dusk, we return to the "turning pond". This is a kind of "return", a kind of daily travel homecoming.

In the past four years, how many times our classmates have returned from such a trip, no matter how heart-wrenching and sleepy we are, the green mountain always accepts us with its wordless love and soothes us with its boundless calmness. We seem to be part of this historic wandering, as if we are part of nature's acceptance, and we strive to shake off the imprisonment of bad news and narrow visions in the wilderness, constantly admonishing ourselves to be faithful to the earth. No matter how tired our returnees are, whether they have been decadent or not, they can also regard all the sunsets as a quiet dusk of the soul, and there is a faint call to see the distant mountains, making this real and distant scene unforgettable.

The passionate recitation of the German poet Rilke in the famous "On Landscape and Water" has been superimposed on the picture screen of the four seasons of Elephant Mountain many times, bringing me countless spiritual imaginations. Rilke writes: "In a slow process of 'the landscapeization of the world', there is a distant human development. In the middle of our time, a 'future' has begun: man is like a thing in the midst of all things, infinitely lonely. The union of all things and men retreats to a common depth, where the roots of all growers are infiltrated. ”
