It's a little-known place
There the lake surface is always clear
The air there is full of tranquility
The snow-white moon shines on the earth
……
This is not a Norwegian forest, it is Lake Resia in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy, lago di Resia, on the border with Austria and Switzerland.
There are not many tourists here, but when you are immersed, you can feel an ethereal tranquility.
Lake Resia is located in the mountains and a road trip is preferred
Lake Resia is an artificial lake under the jurisdiction of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, with an area of 6.6 square kilometers, an altitude of 1,498 meters, a maximum water depth of 6 meters, a storage capacity of 0.12 cubic kilometers, and the water comes from the Adige River, the second longest river in Italy.
Lake Resia is famous for its minarets in the lake!
This spire is part of the church, once the most iconic building of a small town, with a sad story behind it.
On the border with Austria and Switzerland, there is an ancient town called "Cullon", and below it there is a quiet lake, Lake Resia.
The town and the lake used to coexist in harmony, but at the beginning of the last century, someone decided to build a hydropower station here, and what they did not expect was that the water level of the lake rose, submerging the entire town of Kulong, and more than 150 families lost their loved ones. After that, people moved to higher places, and only the wide lake surface alone revealed the bell tower of a medieval church, which seemed to remind people of the impermanence of life.
When you swim in the middle of the lake, remember to look down at the lake, which is a small town that used to be bustling with people
In the summer, the turquoise water of the lake and the reflection of the bell tower are very beautiful;
And when the lake freezes in winter, people can cross the frozen lake to the bell tower, and it seems that the magic is lifted, and people can reach out and touch it like a hundred years ago...
When the lake freezes in winter, we can cross the frozen lake and touch the ancient bell tower, as if we have traveled through time and space, back to the past...
