You know, basically 99% of the escapements used in mechanical watches are lever escapements, which were first invented by the British watchmaker Thomas Mudge in the mid-18th century, and have been more than 200 years. In 1999, Omega and independent watchmaker George Daniels replaced the coaxial escapement on the basis of the ETA2892 and launched the first generation of the coaxial escapement calibre 2500. In 2007 Omega launched the fully homegrown coaxial escape movement 8500, and in 2008 it adopted a silicon hairspring.
In 2013, Omega launched the anti-magnetic 15,000 Gauss coaxial escapement calibre 8508 for the first time. Two years later, Omega and the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology launched METAS certification. It can be said that the coaxial escapement has undergone many updates before it has been upgraded to the best observatory movement of the current Omega main force.
Omega's best observatory watch, through eight rigorous tests, it has obtained the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology METAS certification, in addition to having a coaxial escapement structure, but also made of anti-magnetic materials to make a movement, the time difference of 0-5 seconds, and anti-magnetic 15000 Gauss, in life basically put an end to the possibility of watch magnetization.
