Video
The advantages of the A7M4 in video are very obvious, but there is a fatal drawback, which is often ridiculed by R6 users.
The A7M4 provides three kinds of video encodings: within H.264 frames, between H.265 frames, and H.265, which can shoot 422 10bit. The R6 has only 422 10bit H.265. If your computer configuration is a little worse, cutting H.265 pieces will be very stuck, and the proxy file is an additional time long cost and storage cost. The A7M4 has H.265 with a high compression ratio and H.264, which does not require a high computer configuration, giving users a variety of choices, which is one of the biggest advantages of the A7M4.
The lens group of the A7M4 is far richer than that of the R6, although the R6 can also transfer EF lenses to shoot videos, but at least in the native mount lens, this piece is far inferior to the A7M4, both in quantity and price is not as good as the A7M4 lens group.
The biggest problem with R6 in video is heat dissipation, which is basically recognized, shooting 4K60P in a 25-degree environment to about 27 minutes of overheating off. However, the heat dissipation of A7M4 is not much better, if it is set to a standard of ten minutes, it may overheat, if it is set to "high", generally speaking, it will not overheat for more than 30 minutes (in an environment of more than 20 degrees), but it is also easy to overheat in an environment of more than 30 degrees.
The biggest problem with A7M4 is 4K60P cutting, which is also the most intolerable place for everyone, including many A7M4 users are scolding while using. I used to joke that the A7M4 was paired with a Mating Horse 18-50 or a Tenglong 17-70 (both of which are APS-C frame lenses) very well, although this is a joke that the A7M4 is like a half-frame micro-single, but these two lenses to the A7M4 to shoot 4K60P is really no problem, a good choice.

R6 mechanical shutter continuous shooting of 12 shots / sec, electronic shutter continuous shot of 20 shots / s, which can be said to be a hanging A7M4. However, for the vast majority of ordinary enthusiasts, even for some professional photographers, 10 shots / second is enough, so the continuous shooting of A7M4 is not much worse, mainly due to the loss of RAW to achieve 10 frames / s, which is somewhat diaphragm.
Stabilization
Canon's stabilization in the full-frame micro single field is one of the best (and Panasonic have a win-win), and Sony is the lowest.
pixel
R6 pixels may be the biggest problem with this camera, as long as we don't shoot 4K60P all the time, it won't overheat, and the lens group can also be solved by transferring EF, but this 20 million pixels is really unpleasant. Mainly this year's mainstream full-frame camera has achieved 24 million pixels, you R6 must be less than 4 million pixels, but not enough, is simply uncomfortable.
The A7M4's 33 million pixels is relatively reasonable, the A7M4 is cut to the APS-C format and there are 14 million pixels, and the R6 crop to the APS-C format is only 8.5 million pixels, and the gap is reflected.
It seems that the dissatisfaction with R6 is also on the pixel, in fact, 20 million is really enough, but for ordinary consumers", "enough" does not make much sense, who does not like high pixels? Especially R6, which is 4 million less than the mainstream 24 million, enough is enough, it is not very cool.
As for secondary cropping, if you take "pixel low impact secondary cropping" as a reason not to choose these cameras, I think it is a bit exaggerated, there is no need to be unnecessary.
I found a very interesting thing, if you have a camera with a slightly higher pixel in your hand, you basically don't care about the R6's 20 million pixels when you buy a camera, but if you only buy a camera, 20 million pixels is a grudge, hahaha!
Lens group
The native bayonet lens group Canon was hung by Sony, which is why many photography enthusiasts do not want to buy Canon.
