Beijing, 25 Jun (Xinhuanet) -- A video dialogue meeting of friendship organizations of the four ancient civilizations of China, India, Egypt, and Greece, initiated and sponsored by the Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries initiated and sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, was held on 24 June.

Lin Songtian, president of the Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Floras, chairman of the Greek "Belt and Road" Association, Shivni, vice president of the Egyptian-Chinese Friendship Association, and Fernandez, president of the Maharashtra India-China Friendship Association, attended the dialogue and delivered opening speeches. Yan Dong, vice president of the Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, read out the "Joint Declaration of the Friendship Organizations of the Four Ancient Civilizations on Calling for World Peace and Development."
Xu Bu, President of the China Institute of International Studies, Wang Huiyao, Chairman of the Globalization Think Tank, Jiang Jingkui, Professor of the Institute of International and Regional Studies and Department of Foreign Languages of Tsinghua University, Wang Qi, an expert in Confucian culture at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Liu Yihong, an expert on Islamic civilization at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Anita, former vice president of Mangram University in India, Wei Han, an Indian teacher at Beijing Chinese University of Foreign Studies, Mu Jiaqi, an Egyptian expert at the Western European and African Communication Center of circumscribes from CIPG, and Ma Xiaoyu, an Egyptian expert at Shanghai University of Foreign Chinese, Well-known experts and scholars from four countries, including Vesilaki, president of the University of the Aegean in Greece, Kapasiotaki, an expert on international issues in Greece, and Gondos, former vice chairman of the Greek-China Friendship Association, attended the video dialogue meeting online, and conducted in-depth dialogue and discussion on three topics: "The Beauty of Harmony and the Light of Civilization", "Learning from the Past, Safeguarding Fairness and Justice", and "Friendly Dialogue and Promoting Peaceful Development", and shared the research results of their respective civilizations. The participants unanimously said that under the current international situation, the dialogue meeting of the four ancient civilizations proposed by the Chinese Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries is opportune, innovative and of special significance. The dialogue jointly issued the voice of peace, justice and civilization, advocated the right path of peaceful development, civilized development, fairness and justice, and win-win cooperation, and reached a broad consensus on mutual respect, exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations and common prosperity.

Lin Songtian said: China, India, Egypt, and Greece all have a long history and splendid civilizations, and have all made outstanding contributions to the inheritance of their own people and the development and progress of all mankind. The Chinese civilization has lasted for more than 5,000 years and has formed the spiritual characteristics of stressing benevolence, valuing the people, keeping good faith, advocating justice, maintaining harmony, and seeking common ground. This is the unique cultural force of the Chinese nation that is constantly thriving and constantly overcoming various difficulties and challenges. China has always advocated the civilization concept of equality, mutual learning, dialogue and inclusiveness, understood the understanding of the value connotations of different civilizations with a broad mind, respected the exploration of their own development paths by the people of different countries, transcended the gap between civilizations with civilization exchanges, transcended the conflict of civilizations with civilizational mutual learning, transcended the superiority of civilizations with the coexistence of civilizations, opposed any arrogance and prejudice, and promoted the mutual achievements and common prosperity of human civilizations in exchanges and mutual learning.
The guests unanimously held that civilization is the crystallization of wisdom for the development and progress of human society, the common spiritual wealth of the people of all countries in the world, the spiritual bond for maintaining and carrying forward the common values of all mankind in peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom, and an important force for promoting world peace, harmony, development and prosperity, and leading human society to bright progress. The participants unanimously said that the law of the jungle, the deliberate incitement of ideological confrontation and camp confrontation, the zero-sum game of depriving the people of the world of their development rights and interests, and various forms of hegemonism have never been civilized acts.
