Li Haitao's three classic works, known by the media as "the first person to paint the sea in China", were first published on the whole network as digital collections. In the "Blue Land - Digital Collection series of classic paintings by Master Li Haitao", the work "Sea of Life" depicts the natural beauty of the sea, "Red Sail of the Haven" tells the story of the sea and people, and "Wind Boat Map" is an artistic tribute to the spirit of "breaking into the sea". This set of collections aims to let Tibetan friends feel the painter's creative mind of "overflowing in the sea" through delicate brushstrokes and unique techniques, while inheriting the red revolutionary culture, getting close to the ocean, establishing the awareness of protecting the ocean, and strengthening the belief in a marine power.
Li Dong, the son of Li Haitao, inherited his father's artistic mantle and devoted himself to creating marine paintings. Whether it is going out with his father to sketch when he was a child, or accompanying his father to collect wind along the Coast of China, collecting materials for the masterpiece "Ten Thousand Miles of Sea Frontier", his father's artistic concept and creative attitude of going deep into life and taking root in life have always deeply influenced Li Dong and become the concept of artistic creation that he has always adhered to. A few days ago, in an interview with China Youth Daily and China Youth Network, Li Dong told about his feelings of home and country and people that are in line with his father.
"As an artist, first of all, we must be patriotic and obsessed with our own art. As a painter of the Marine School, through the brush in his hand, he should call on people to pay attention to the ocean, protect the marine environment, and defend the marine land. I think this is the origin of my father's painting of the ocean, and it is also the mission of the artist. In Li Dong's view, the feeling of home and country is the root of art and the soul of artists in the new era.

Li Haitao's "Ten Thousand Miles of Sea Frontiers" created over a period of 5 years is the first work in Chinese history to show the whole picture of China's sea frontiers, in order to truly show the 18,000 kilometers of China's sea frontiers, from south to north and the different characteristics of each sea, Li Dong accompanied his father to measure China's coastline with his feet. "My father was a rigorous man, especially in the process of artistic exploration and practice, meticulous in the pursuit of the truth, goodness and beauty of art." Li Dong recalled, "I remember when I was young, I was preparing my works for the National Children's Art Exhibition, when I painted the scene of the Young Pioneers of the People's Commune standing on a bamboo raft and releasing ducks. I replied 'no'. My father said that you should not paint things that do not have the understanding of life. My father's words have always influenced me, art must go deep into life, take root in life, only in this way can we create vivid and touching works. ”
In addition to his father's words and deeds, many years of work experience in grass-roots public security have also imperceptibly enlightened and influenced Li Dong's understanding of art and his thinking about life. "Over the years, work and creation, the police have been accompanied by painters, hustle and bustle and tranquility. The public security police must face all kinds of people, and while feeling the positive energy of the warm hearts of the society, they will also face the gray and dark side of the society. Painting art to express the living state of human beings, rich experience has stimulated my thinking about the living state of human beings, subtly affected my thinking on painting creation, but also completed the richness of the world in my eyes and in my heart. ”

During the epidemic period, Li Dong specially painted a work with marine themes, entitled "A Corner". "This work depicts the suspended and floating human body on the seabed under the framework of the community of human destiny, conveying from the painting a kind of uneasiness in uncertainty and a zen nature of freedom and detachment, creating a feeling of pity."
Use a painting to guide young people to understand history, understand the present, and look forward to the future. As an art worker in the new era, especially as a practitioner of art creation, and a related work organizer, I have always felt a heavy responsibility and a lofty mission, and it is the only choice to work hard to do my job well.
